Hi Ann, Ok didnt know yet of any brothers and sisters but thankyou for finding the brother for me and yes ive spotted the other Albert arthur Pumfretts aswell and found it strange they all born in West ham aswell but my nan did say she dont know Arthurs dads name and that he died she thinks when he was 42 so maybe the other Arthurs are the father and grandad. Thanx again Jo

Ann, I just been looking at the 3 Albert Arthur Pumfretts and yes we have my nans uncle there born 1914 and i thought maybe we have his Dad and Grandad aswell but looking at dates again im not sure now as the 3rd Albert was born 1903 so i doubt very much thats the dad as only 11 years difference but the 2nd might be the Dad or the Grandad even. Alberts Mum was called Rosamelia and my nan thinks she was born in Ireland, not sure about that and also Alberts siblings are Alfred, Harry and Rose evelyn, who was my great nanny. Heres the 3 that you found again so you can see what i mean by the dates. Albert A Pumfrett 1914 Jan-Feb-Mar (Mmn Parks) West Ham Essex, Greater London Albert Arthur Pumfrett 1879 Oct-Nov-Dec West Ham Essex, Greater London Albert Arthur J Pumfrett 1903 Jan-Feb-Mar West Ham Essex, Greater London Jo

Name: Rose Eveline Pumfrett Year of Registration: 1909 Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun District: West Ham County: Essex, Greater London Volume: 4a Page: 266 Looks like his dad was called Alfred John PARKS Rose Amelia W. Ham 4a 89 Pumfrett Alfred John W. Ham 4a 89 June 1906 Now you need Their parents names. Marriage cert would really help here. Probably Rose ameila's birth:- Name: Rose Amelia Parks Year of Registration: 1883 Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun District: West Ham County: Essex, Greater London Volume: 4a Page: 171 **There is a Rose parks in Leytonstone, Essex in 1891 census - would that be West Ham district? ----- maybe Alfred John's birth reg Name: Alfred John Pumfrett Year of Registration: 1882 Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep District: West Ham County: Essex, Greater London Volume: 4a Page: 107 A Charles and Elizabeth Pumfrett in Wham in 1891 census, but no son

There is an Albert Pumfrett lurking in West ham in 1901- maybe yours Name: Albert Pumfrett Age: 20 Estimated birth year: abt 1881 Relation: Son Mother's name: Maria Gender: Male Where born: Forest Gate, Essex, England Civil parish: West Ham Ecclesiastical parish: St James County/Island: Essex Registration district: West Ham Sub-registration district: Forest Gate ED, institution, or vessel: 32 Neighbors: View others on page Household schedule number: 71 Household Members: Name Age Charles Childs 18 George Childs 22 a car man (occ) Albert Pumfrett 20 Alfred Pumfrett 18 Bertie Pumfrett 14 Esther Pumfrett 9 Maria Pumfrett 52 WIDOW Winnie Pumfrett 16 Susan Shephard 20 --- same family in 1891 The U in Pumfrett looks like an O , but i'm sure it them me: Maria Pomfret Age: 43 Estimated birth year: abt 1848 Relation: Wife Spouse's name: James Gender: Female Where born: Winehish, Essex, England Civil parish: West Ham Ecclesiastical parish: St James County/Island: Essex Country: England Registration district: West Ham Sub-registration district: West Ham ED, institution, or vessel: 87 Household Members: Name Age Albert A Pomfret 11 Alfred J Pomfret 8 Bertram Pomfret 4 Frederick Pomfret 13 James Pomfret 42 < a farrier/Smith James W Pomfret 18 Joseph W Pomfret 20 Maria Pomfret 43 Mary Ann Pomfret 16 Winifred Pomfret 6 Sarah Rust 47 < a (something) in law. Sister? so when you get Alberts marriage cert - if you do- his father needs to be called James, and probably marked as deceaced on the cert

Ann, Would that be Alberts father you mean that you have found for 1901? I find this very confusing sometimes especially when they follow names. Albert my nans uncle has got 2 brothers and 1 sister think you have found them! yes you have lol sorry im very forgetful, i have to keep looking back at the replies as you cant see them when replying if you know what i mean but you can on the emails. i think i will print this all of now so can look at it at same time as replying.
