I haven't looked in the 1901 but I have in the 1881. Can you please copy and paste the Corelli's from the 1901? And no, Clifford seems to have never existed, but his poor mother with 13 babies was a hero!

Thank you very much that is interesting, because although in my family Corelli is a forname, the first one was named after a Spanish/Italian/Greek sailor I think, so maybe it was the Sailor's surname? Is that what Rome naturalized means? That he came from Rome? Also do you think the Marguerite O from the 1891 census and the Osbor M from the 1901 census are the same person as they are both daughters born in the same year and share initials just swapped round? Beth

Yes please, I have emailed you at your mailbox. As the mesage said, I don't recognise any of the names, but I think you may have found THE original Corelli. My grandparents said he was a sailor - foreign produce agent? - and that he was spanish...could have been Italian, as the Corelli you found, so thanks you're brilliant! Beth

ZOE..I went totally Ga-ga years ago......... I think we are there - just waiting for beth - the requester- doont waste credits, Reg has checked it on 1837 and is much clearer. he was one of 13 and the missing Qtrs would be very unfortunate to be in the gaps where she wasnt pregnant with one of the others,....

Hiya ladies...I'm so sorry I've been away. Yesterday I was sick as a dog and my mum refused that I came on here! Haha that makes me sound so childish! Last day of school was Thursday but I had to go to school today to do textiles coursework. Still don't feel right...but I'm excited to know what you've found out I'm so happy that you've all kept at it and sorry that I dissappointed you! Any news?

Bethany

Bethany Report 17 Feb 2006 20:31

Oh yeah Thomas C Thynne...seems plausible. I'm going to check what quarter of 1909 Corelli was born in to see if it's possible. Do you really reckon that's finally the Clifford?! Thanks so much Jess x
