TONY HUGGINS Hi Tony I came up with 20 possibles for Thomas just between 1850 and 1856, so unable to narrow it down. It looks like I've had better success with Margaret. This looks very much like her. If so, also found her parent's marriage, 2 siblings, her Mum's possible christening, her parent's marriage and 4 of her siblings. Hope that you find the info helpful. Dawn :-) MARY GRAHAM HOLM, ch 15 Feb 1854, Kilmacolm, Renfrew, Father JOHN HOLM, Mother ELIZABETH LAIRD JOHN HOLM married ELIZABETH LAIRD, 4 Dec 1849, Kilmacolm All siblings were born in Kilmacolm. JOHN HOLM, ch 15 Sep 1850 JANET HOLM, b 27 Aug 1851 ELIZABETH LAIRD, ch 28 Dec 1828, Kilmacolm, Father JAMES LAIRD, Mother JANET BLAIR JAMES LAIRD married JANNET BLAIR, 9 Mar 1827, Kilmacolm All children were born in Kilmacolm. JAMES LAIRD, ch 30 Oct 1831 ROBERT LAIRD, ch 31 Mar 1839 MARY LAIRD, ch 18 Oct 1840 MARGARET LAIRD, b 29 Nov 1844

KAREN MCCORMICK Hi Karen I'm afraid that I won't be able to help with your search as my records only go up to 1854. I did have a look just in case, as some areas go a little later, but for births/christenings and that name just up to 1854. Sorry I couldn't be of help. Dawn :-)

ROBYN MCNIE Hi Robyn I have the same problem, 4 generations that have the same name as my father, so I get totally confused which one I'm talking about sometimes. Anyway I had a bit better success this time. I found Duncan's christening, which I didn't know if you had or not. Also 4 siblings for him. DANIEL MCNEE, ch 29 Apr 1792, Balquhidder, Perth JOHN MCNEE, ch 23 Mar 1794, Kincardine, Perth PETER MCNEE, ch 13 Dec 1795, Kincardine, Perth DUNCAN MCNEE, ch 20 Aug 1797, Kincardine, Perth ELISABETH MCNEE, ch 12 Jan 1800, Kincardine I wasn't able to find any trace of a marrige between Malcolm and Catherine. As for tracing Catherine's birth/christening, there were loads born around1760s/1770s time in just Balquhidder and Kincardine, so would be impossible to narrow down for you. As for Malcolm, I did find 2 possibles for him. Sorry I couldn't narrow it down to just one for you. MALCOM MCNIE, ch 29 Nov 1776, Balquhidder,Perth, Father ALEXANDER MCNIE, Mother CARMICHAEL MALCOM MCNIE, ch 13 OCT 1784, Balquhidder, Perth, Father DUNCAN MCNIE, Mother JANET MCGRIGOR Hope that you find the info helpful and take care in those tropical storms. Hopefully they won't last too long. Today we've got heavy rain, so back to typical British weather!!! Take care and have a great New Year. You know where I am if you need further help. Dawn :-)

Hello Dawn Thank you very much for your kind offer. Would it be possible to check for a marriage please about 1795 +/- 2 years for Alexander KILGOUR/KILGORE/KILGOWER and C/Katherine STEWART/STUART? Their first 2 children Agnes and George were born in 1797 and 1800 and christened at Kinnoul. Perthshire and their younger daughters Catherine and Cecilia were christened at Forteviot, Perthshire in 1802 and 1804 respectively. The records for the children are on the IGI but there is no sign of the marriage of Alexander and Catherine. Thank you for your help. Kind regards and God bless you, Lynne New Zealand

Hi Dawn, Another lookup if I may please, when you have time. I would like to confirm the marriage of JOHN MACKIE to MARGARET MELVILLE in 1857 at Dalry, Ayrshire. Any children of the marriage would be great as I only have those born in Australia. Heather in Oz

Lilian Report 3 Jan 2006 12:38

Hi Dawn, If possible, I would appreciate you looking for the births of the following people : ESTHER GUNNING HERRON, born about 1851 in Ayrshire, Scotland. Her mother's name was also Esther and Gunning may have been her mother's maiden name but I don't know this for sure. Her father's name was David Herron, occupation tailor. HAMILTON WALDEN ( WALDON), born about 1842 in Scotland, possibly Ayrshire but I don't know this for sure either. His father's name was John Walden, occupation weaver. They married in Liverpool in 1868 and in 1871 were living with her mother Esther, her sister Isabella and brother Daniel. I hope this is enough information. Many thanks, Lilian
