ISOBEL FROM SCOTLAND Hi Isobel No Williams in 1851, but did find these two. These were the latest on my records in Dumfries. Hello Dawn, Hearty congratulations on your marriage, may it be a long, healthy and happy one - now you can set about extending your tree !! Dawn, it is obvious you are very, very busy but here is a very long shot. I'm trying to trace the forbears of one Alexander Kennedy DAVIS born 1922 in either Edinburgh or Bathgate. He was raised mainly by his Aunt surname Jimieson or Jamieson who hailed from Bathgate, therefore his mother was either Jimieson or Jamieson. Regarding his father, I believe he was originally POLISH but changed his name to DAVIS and became a bespoke tailor in Edinburgh - no dates I'm afraid. Alexander is now deceased but served in the Argyll's in W W 2 and married an Yvonne PINA in Vienna in 1945 and on demob, they returned to Edinburgh and resided in Thistle Place (Off Viewforth) and Alexander became an Edinburgh City councillor. hi and thankyou for the kind offer please could you look up alexander methven marriage to margaret forbes but when im not sure. their first child was born 1737 his name also alexander he was born in kemback in fifeshire . i would like to know if you can find the marriage of margaret and alexander thankyou so much tracy

Hi Dawn - thanks for the kind offer! I'm looking for the birth of Margaret Alexandrina Mackenzie in c1857 in Banffshire. I believe her father was Alexander Mackenzie. I have two candidates for her mother - Margary Robertson or Ann McAuly...don't know which. Can you find a marriage for Alexander and one of either Margary or Ann - unless they were wives 1 & 2!! HILARY JARMAN Hi Hilary The disc I have is called Family Search Scottish Church Records. It is a fairly old disc but has loads of great info on. It was produced by The Church of The Latter-day Saints, I don't know if it's still available or not from their website. I was lucky enough to buy it on eBay. It looks like these might be the people you were looking for, hope so.
