Have just seen what you mean Caroline, why would someone change their first name? Not helpful, have you mailed her direct?

If you ask for help in finding a person, please give the complete name..........in the past few days, several members have been helping to look for someone, only to be told, after about 20 postings had been added to the thread, that the person found was the wrong one, because the second forename was different..................... Hi Laura I dont know if this is/Has been on here but I wanted to add it. When People put 'Only reply on Thread' OR 'Please no PM's' It means that they want you to reply on the message and not reply to them by Clicking on their name which ends up sending a PM / Private message / E-Mail. It is annoying when you have CLEARLY wrote this is the message but people still send them through E-mail / PM. It fills up the inbox and gets very confusing.. So you need to 1) Click on the Title. EG..'Census info offered' 2) Read CAREFULLY what the person has put in their first message.Re:Look ups offered. 3) If you think they can help you go to step 4) 4)then click on 'Add Reply' 5)then type up your message / Request on there. It will appear on the message the way you type it. So spread the message out 'as I have done' and it will be easier to read. Hope this helps someone... Good luck Lesley :~)

Hi, My earlier advice still stands, but the mystery is solved - they are related - one sister has taken over another's membership and we have been in contact. Caroline

When asking for census lookups and giving other census details for reference, please give the birth years, rather than the ages. Ages change with the passage of time.........birth years don't; also it saves the person trying to help the problem of doing the maths! Rose
