Hi Dawn, Thankyou for your very kind offer. When you are able to spare a few mins could you please see if you can find The marriage of David LITTLE and his bride Margaret WEIR which took place on 27th November 1825 ( I think) in Sanquhar, Dunfries, Scotland. Sanquhar is a small place which is located on the Western side of Scotland, just above Glasgow, Near Warnock Head (as far as I know - my geography's not too hot !). If you are able to locate these I would be interested in their parents details (plus any other information that's given on the record) and also the children they baptised. These children would have included James LITTLE baptised in Warnhock Head, Sanquhar, Dumfries in 1828. If you have the time I would also be really grateful if you could see if there is a christening for James Bayne possibly in 1802 or possibly 1807. His father was definitely called Alexander BAYNE and his mother's surname was definitely DRUMMOND. However, I'm not sure whether the mother's christian name is AGNES or ISABELLA. Census returns indicate that James BAYNE was born in LENNOXTOWN, Dunbarton which is not too far away from Glasgow ( I think). I did a google search and found that the parish name is probable CAMPSIE, and I also did a Scotlands people search which suggested a baptism for James BAYNE at CAMPSIE in 1802 which I thought was a about 5 years earlier than the ages on census returns and death certificates suggest.

Dear Dawn, Thnaks for the offer. Are you able to trace the birth records for my ancestor Edward Strachan born c1811 or 1816 (depending on which census you read). He was born in Kineff and Catterline, Kincardineshire. His parents were George Strachan and Elizabeth Moonlight. I have already looked on Scotland's People website but no success. I can find records for his older and younger siblings. Thank you. Susan

Hi Dawn, If you were able to locate the birth of an Ellen Turnbull in 1837 in Scotland, in the Leith/Dalmeny/Edinburgh area, and her parents, it would be really useful. The name and date are correct, the location is a 'very positive suspicion' No second names are known. Many thanks in advance, Ian
