Hello Steve I have been sent a copy of the 1891 census with my great grandfather on which shows a sister I knew nothing about. Having checked births I believe she was Amelia Margaret Napier born Woolwich amj 1882.(does your BMD list parents as they should be James and Ann) In 1899 there is a marriage with either a James Henry Benton or George William Hill. I have looked on the national archives 1901 site and believe she married Hill as there is no Amelia Benton . So could you please look up Amelia Hill aged about 18 /19 with a husband James on the 1901 census Thank you Deborah

Jane I'm afraid that even with that information, I can't find either of them in 1891, is it possible Eliza went to sea with him? I found the information you gave on th1 1901, but nothing on 1891. Sorry Steve

Hi Steve Sorry me again - but as you've been so helpful already thought I might push my luck! In 1901, John Viall b. c1878 in Manningt(on)tree, Essex was a boarder with the 'Palmer' family (as you have kindly found out), so I assume he hadn't married then. He was married to a Beatrice Mallon in 1909 when my father was born (as per his birth cert) but I cannot find any record to give me a marriage date. If you can offer anything and any info on Beatrice in 1901 I would be extremly grateful. Many thanks again. Colin

Thank you for your kind offer. Please could you look for the marriage, probably in the Burscough area of Lancashire, of William Aspinall (born 1873) to Mary Robinson. I can only guess the wedding would have been in the 1890s. Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

Hi Steve, I am wanting to find James Mulvey SNR Born circa 1860-70 with a son James Mulvey Born 1898. James JNR was born in Lancashire so I would have thought in general that dad may be from there as well. Don't Know of any wife/mother's name as yet sorry I can't give you any more info than that. I wait in anticipation for any help you can give me. Thankyou Adi

Margaret I've searched from 1875 to 1890 for your Evans Marriage, but there's nothing involving a David and an Eleanor at all. Sorry Steve

Kirsty The marriage record on BMD wouldn't give her parents names, I have had a look though, but I can't see a marriage between a William Ketteringham and an Emma at all. I searched for a birth or an Emma Yeates (all spellings) in Lincolnshire in in 1867 +-5yrs, I looked on the 1871 census for her, all to no avail. Could she have been born elsewhere, or could her name be wrong? Steve

Alan I'm afraid I can't find a marriage for William at all. I've found the family in various guises on the 1861, 71 and 91 censuses, just in case one of Janes relatives was living with them, but unfortunately not. Sorry Steve

Colin I'm afraid I've not had much luck with Beatrice Mallon. I've looked for the marriage between 1901 and 1909 to no avail, nor are there any Beatrice Mallon's on the 1901 census. There are three unmarried Beatrice Mallen's on the 1901 census, one born in 1899 (and so too young to be married with a child 10 yrs later). The other two, 1875 and 1892 are possibilites, but they are living in Durham and Worcestershire respectively. Beatrice Mallen abt 1899 South Shields, Durham, England Daughter South Shields Durham Beatrice Mallen abt 1875 Amblecote, Staffordshire, England Daughter Lye Worcestershire Without finding the marriage or indeed any other information, it's difficult to narrow down.
