Hello Helen, I wonder if it would be possible to find my ancestor James Kirk b. Upton C1827. On the 1881 census, he is listed as receiving a police pension, so presumably he is retired. I think he would have been serving in Westiminster. Thanks in advance Fiona

Hi Helen you kindly looked up my grandfathers records,can you tell me what R= as in 27/01/19 102485 Robert Welch PC 203 D to 950 R 28/01/19 have also found another uncle dont know as much about him Horace Brooker b/1866 Higham Kent wife Amy just says Met police many thanks Beryl

Hi Helen Thanks for your offer - I'm looking for a David Pearce b 1855 Dorset. In 1881 he was living at Braden St, Paddington as a Police Constable. I have no idea where he was stationed or any other information - can you please help Many thanks Linda

Helen, Could you please have a look for my Gt, Gt Grandfather - James Kaye. He was a police constable on the 1871 and 1881 Census - 1871 living in Willesden, 1881 he was living in harrow. On the 1871 census he went under the name of Samuel and not James. B 1844 Approx in Scotland - Wife called Catherine Thanks a lot. Anne
