*Emma in Yorkshire* Hi Emma, I've checked Milford, Shottlegate, Postem, Turnditch & Windley ...I'm afraid your Douge/Doge/Dodge family are nowhere to be seen. Sorry. Elaine :-) I'll see if I can find 'Hazlewood' ........... They aren't in Hazlewood or Heage either. Sorry. Elaine :-)

Elaine, Thanks so much for looking - what a pain - where are they hiding!! Can you tell me does Derbyshire 1841 cover Codnor and Loscoe or would that be Nottinghamshire? Thanks again, Emma

*Emma in Yorkshire* I have just been reliably informed that although we live less than a mile from both Codnor & Loscoe, they are in fact in Nottinghamshire. The border between Derbys & Notts runs this side of them. There is a Codnor Park on the Derbyshire Disc's ..which my daughter has just explained consists of one road ..! and is at the side of Codnor ..the mind boggles !! Elaine :-) Short ansa : Nottinghamshire ! SO SORRY ... SHE is WRONG !!! ( I love it when I proove mny daughter wrong !! Heanor & Loscoe come under Heanor .... Codnor comes under Codnor Park ..so they ARE on the Derbyshire 1841. **WHO ARE YOU LOOKING FOR** please !! Elaine :-)

Elaine, Thanks for replying - actually it was my Douge family from earlier that I was looking for. I know they were in Codnor and Loscoe in 1871 although they were back in the Duffield area after that (others were in Mansfield). I wondered if they'd moved to the Codnor and Loscoe area as early as 1841. Thanks again, Emma.

Hi Elaine Can I ask you for another look up? Its for Sarah Harrison again, born 1833/34. That probably was her in Bradley, but I know she moved to Hollington at some stage. So, could you look for her in Hollington / Longford to see if she's there at an earlier age then I thought. Margaret

* Emma in Yorkshire * Codnor & Loscoe Sorry, Your Douge, Doge, Dodge family aren't in Codnor or Loscoe either. When I eventually get the 1861 Derbyshire, I'll let everyone know, so we can check Derbyshire 1861 & Derbyshire 1851 as well when I get that ! Elaine :-)

Julianna .. The Derbyshire 1851 Census isn't out yet... but as soon as its available I will grab it ! .. and let everyone know I'm doing lookups. You would need to go to the Records Office in Matlock, Derbyshire to view the census on Fiche... if your really eager ! Elaine :-)
