Tracey - many thanks. They will add a fair bit of grist to my mill! Did you find any similar info on the SAINTHILL families - there should be several of them in the area too. Again - thank you - Rosi

Rosi, Funnily enough, I've tried and used the variant names.. Cannot seem to find one Sainthill.. Have you got a first name and details..so I can check against, incase they're in different surname? T

Tracey, if you have time I wondered if you could look for a Thomas Horstead born also a John Horstead (his bro) and Elizabeth Horstead, sister all between 1760/1769. These 3 are the link to where there parents were from - have been unable to find the parents, Edward, 1735 and Elizabeth, 1741 anywhere before 1770 and the birth of their fourth child. Driving me mad! Many thanks. Sorry -NORFOLK

Rosi Report 4 Nov 2004 12:25

Hi Tracy - I'm sorry - I had no intention of implying that you had forgotten re the Sainthill family - I thought perhaps you were waiting until you had more time and maybe 'in' the Devon 1851 - I certainly was not hassling you - I am more than grateful for what you have found re the Lindseys in Bradninch. Thankyou again. I will perhaps ask you again when I have gathered more information and can give you something less esoteric to look for. Rosi

Eames Report 4 Nov 2004 12:33

Noooo Rosi, I never thought of you doing that... Just saying that they're simply vanished from Devon ones as I'd thought they would be there. Do ask again if you needed more look up :) T

Dear Tracy, Please, if you have time, could you have a look at the 1851 census for Gloucestershire for my Comfort Peglar and her hubby William. She was born Maisemore around 1814, unsure of him. Comfort has a child called Rubens Hamblin born before marriage, he could be on this census with them. Regards, Matthew
