Hi Tracy Is there any hope of finding a JONES on the 1891 census without a birthplace? I'm looking for Thomas JONES born c.1856. He was a ship's fireman and his wife was living in Plaistow, West Ham but he is not at home. I expect he would be around the same area. (Rumour has it that he was a bigamist so he may well be living with another wife!) Thanks! Sarah

Hi again Tracy Please could you look on 1871 Devon for the SPILLER family in Broad Clist. Joseph SPILLER (born Venn Ottery), wife Ann, daughter Emma (born Broad Clist 1863). Thank you. Also SPEAR family from Crediton area, maybe Nymet Rowland, particularly Mary Jane(born abt 1842) and her parents. Hopefully she was still living at home then as she never married. I can't find any records of her prior to the 1881 census - think she was beamed down from another planet! Thank you very much Sue

Hello Tracy, Sorry, I just re-read my note, it was me being thick.. Was hoping to find them on the 1881,1891 census and the rest of each of them's family. I have Rosina getting married in 1911,Bristol,6a 386, but can't find who she married. I assumed it was Francis Thatcher, but can't find him on 1837. so now not sure. Mea

I wonder if I could ask for a look-up from the 1871 and 1891 for Devon? I am Looking for JOHN ROWE, Carpenter, Plymouth. I think he would be born about 1810. On the 1881 I have him age 71 living at 84 King St West, Plymouth St Andrew, Devon and his occupation is Furniture Broker. RG11 Piece/Foil 2198/121 page 11 On his son Richard's Marriage cert (1861) he is listed as a carpenter. Unable to find them on 1851 so far. Thanks in advance for anything you may find.
