Hi, Wondering if you could do a marriage look up for me William Sheppard and Hannah Iles married in Tidworth Hampshire around 1813.

Michelle

Michelle Report 5 May 2004 14:11

Beverley Nothing coming up at all on BIVRI, also looked up on Free BMD and Ancestry with no luck. Your best bet would be to see if anyone has any spare credits on 1837 and see if they can do a look up for you. There were a couple of Gertrude Olivers on Free BMD around that time but none in Nottingham. Sorry Michelle

Jacqueline I assume that you got his father's name from the Wedding cert , if so then can you tell me the occupation of his father Cheers Michelle

Jacqueline Hi again - I can't look up on the 1871 as all the pages for Miller's are coming up blank!! (some sort of processing error by Ancestry) The reason I asked about fathers occupation is because I have the 1881 disks and I could trawl through if you had the wedding cert for Thomas and it gave an occupation for father and if poss Thomas's address at the time. I have got the 1901 image for Thomas for you if you haven't already got it, just send me a direct e-mail. Cheers Michelle

Ann Marie Hi Not quite sure what you want me to look up for you. The BIVRI only has records up to 1906. For me to look up Walter Jones I would definately need his place of birth as it is such a common name. The best I could do would be to look Walter up on the 1891 census but again we would need a place of birth or even his fathers name which you might get from the death certificate. I tried to find the wedding ref for Walter and Elizabeth on Free BMD but when I put Jones in it nearly crashed!! It wouldn't do the search without further info ie place or date. If you know when the first child was born that should give you a good idea of approx date of marriage. Walter was born 1878c so could have married around1898 onwards but it depaend how old his wife was, she may have been alot younger than him which would push the marriage date forward. I'm sorry I can't be of much use at the moment Cheers Michelle

Nancy Ancestry only has civil registration for BMD's and that only started in 1837. I looked up on the BIVRI for her with no luck but here are all the Whitnall's listed on it for your reference. hi michelle Could you please try to find a birth/christening of Lilian emma Parker b 12 april 1904 registered in lunesdale district. thanks tracy

Michelle Report 6 May 2004 12:41

Lisa Sorry nothing coming up on BIVRI and as it's 1838 it's before civil registration (1837) so you need parish registers. If you go to this site http(:)//archives(.)powys(.)gov(.)uk/lsn/02(.)html it tells you the parish registers for Meifod it holds. It may be worth contacting the Family History Society for that area and see if they have volunteers who would look up the registers for you. I live close to the Welsh National Library but don't go on a regular basis - but if your not in a hurry then let me know and next time I go (within the next 6 weeks I hope to go) I believe they may hold these registers so I would have a look for you. In the meantime ask on the board maybe someone in Wales goes on a regular basis and could help out. cheers Michelle

Hi, have you been able to find anything on the mariage of William Sheppard and Hannah Iles in South Tidworth in 1813,

Marion

Marion Report 6 May 2004 16:17

Michelle, Hope you can help. I have the marriage of John Hawker to Mary Ann Harris 12 May 1837 All Souls St Marylebone London. I need to find out her parents if there is a record on the BVRI. According to 1851 she came from B**ford Devon but the place apparently is unreadable. Is it also possible to find the marriage of James Hawker to Mary Gould 2/7/1805 Chard Parish Somerset? Still looking for parents. Many thanks, Marion
