Hi Susie, Thanks for looking, but it now looks as if My Jerimiah Edward Norris was born in 1826, later married Emma Caldery and his parents were Thomas Noris and Elizabeth Engleton. Regards Shona

angela i seem to have more luck finding families for everyone else,but mine are probably down the pub or jetting off somewhere ...lol.i cant find them anywhere. im so glad i could help you,its cheered me up.i wonder if they know where mine are...lol susie

hi angela i found my mums mother on 1901 age 2 living in deptford,kent.her parents were john and louisa hatton.john is down as being born in deptford and louisa is down as being born in lambeth.they arnt on 1891 or 1881 census.john was age 33 and louisa was aged 31 in 1891 as for my mums dad,well,hes not even on 1901!!! he was born on 27 jan 1897 in london,but where i dont know.his name was albert roberts,he had a sister called louisa mary,and brothers tom,jack,dan,alfred. what a nightmare.mum was only 12 when her dad died so she doesnt know anything about him. if i knew his parents names it would be a start,but its just another brick wall.oh well never mind,i wont give up susie

Hi Susie, Please can you do two searches for me. 1st. Alfred Barney b. c1840 Watlington, Oxford. In 1881 cencus he was married to Ann and living at Cottage, Turville, Buckingham. 2nd. Also, Alfred Barney (Son of above) born 1874 Turville, Buckingham. Thank you very much. Jill

Hi Susie, I've had lots of help from other people on the site and have found my GGGrandparets wedding in 1895 in Bedminster, Bristol. I would love to know which church, quarter, and whether there are parents names recorded. They were William Williams and Thirza Pruett . Thanks Paul

Hi Susie, Thought I'd try looking for your John Hatton. Looked at FreeBMD and found a John Hatton married at Greenwich (deptford is part of the district) marrying an Emma Cook in Sept 1876. Did he have a first wife maybe? As you probably know the site is not complete and this very strongly could be a red herring. Angela Born

hi angela thanks ever so much.i'll look into that.it could be possible because he was quite old when nan was born apparently.nan didnt get married until she was 30 because she looked after her elderly parents.once again thankyou and i'll let you know how i get on susie

Hi Susie, I have a William Thompson born Liverpool around 1830,I have copy of his marriage certificate 10/2/1853 to Clara Gardner.He was a pawnbroker on marriage certif. it says father was also William Thompson ( a sail maker) would you have record of birth,just to confuse things on Liverpool 1851 census the only William Thompson-pawnbroker says born Shropshire,the 1881 census says born Liverpool,any help appreciated.
