Ann Report 13 Jun 2004 01:14

Hi Lynda, If you're not too overloaded could you please see if you can find my gt. grandfather William Parker Oates on the 1851 census? The only possible address I have is 7 Stanford Place, Southwark, but all the BMD certificates I have refer to St. Pancras. There should be 3 children, Harriet aged 7 William Joseph aged 5 John aged 1. He was married to a Deborah, but she seems to have disappeared in later records!!!!!!!!! Anything you can find would be great! Cheers, Ann from Oregon!

Hi again, re: waceys, cambridge heath, south hackney. i dont have any names of houses for cambridge heath, south hackney. all i have is this: in 1881 they were living at 202a cassland road, hackney, birth listed as abt 1841 DEAN STREET., birth certificate is 24th nov 1840 cambridge heath, south hackney. in 1841 census its listed as Cambridge heath road, south hackney. i dont have anything else to go on, i am desperate to find where Robert Wacey bc1811 was born and hoped that one of the other census records helps. I think he died in 1857. i have his marriage cert of 1835 and that doesnt have any info at all. thanks for looking anyway, kind regards lisa

Lynda, Many thanks for doing the lookups for me... The one for 28 Windsor Terrace, which you said there were too many....would it be possible to ask for one of them....the one in Mile End as I believe that is pretty close to Bethnal Green where I originally thought Windsor Terrace was located. Still looking for the Martin family. Regards Martin

Hi Lynda When you get time would you mind looking at 4 Cambridge Road Bethnal Green for me please. I'm hoping that Robert Rolfe aged about 22 born Newbury Berks is there - his wife Elizabeth was born St Georges in the East and is about 21. They were there in October 1852 so I'll keep my fingers crossed:)

Georgina Report 21 Jun 2004 13:48

Lynda, Could you possibly look up Vere Street, St. Clement Dane, The Strand. I don't have a number so don't know if it is still possible. I am hoping that a family is living there by the name of Francis If it is a lot of work without a number don't go to the trouble as this is just a shot in the dark. I have a Elizabeth Price (maiden name Francis) at 44 on 1871 census who gives birth place as Vere Street. I am stuck on her so thought this might be a chance. Georgina

Hi Lynda Hope you had a good holiday! I did post a notice on the board while you were away but no takers:) Could you look at 4 Cambridge Road Bethnal Green St Johns for me please - I'm hoping that Robert Rolfe born Newbury Berks aged 22 and/ or Elizabeth Ann Horn(e) born St Georges in the East/St Botolph aged 21 are there - they both gave the address for their marriage in May 1851. If not, would you mind looking at No. 25 where they were in 1871 and 1881. Many thanks:) David
