Hi Brenda, Re the 1841 census for the west riding of yorkshire. I have been told that Goole is in West Riding. If so I am trying to find a Edward Short born 1840 Goole. Since he was there in 1881 with his family, I would think he would be in Goole in 1841. Mind you I know that doesn't always follow!!! I'd like to place him with his family to continue back. Hi Susie,. Is there any Wallers called: James, Emma they would be husband and wife Elizabeth, Emily, Harriot, Mary Ann, i don't know whether they married or not James and Esther husband and wife(died before1891) on the bedfordshire parish and probate records or the 1891 census. Thanks, Lucia.

Hi Susie, heres some more info: James WALLER, born 1828, Luton Emma WALLER, married James in 1848 Elizabeth WALLER, born 1835, Luton Emily WALLER, born 1829, Luton Harriot WALLER, born 1834, Luton Mary Ann WALLER, born 1831 James WALLER married Esther in 1827. did try to get back to you earlier, but the gc site wasn't working. I have the Norfolk,Devon and Warwick census for 1851 1871/81/91/01 census ancestry Norfolk parish records volume 1-12 (marriages) years 1560 -1812 some villages up to 1837 1872 Directory of Norfolk British Isles Vital Records national burial index england and wales 1st edition norfolk regiments 1874-1912 lists name, where person lives and sometimes a bit more. 1841 census norfolk 1861 census norfolk 1871 census norwich part census only lists name and road/street lots of 1837 saved pages. I have the book 'The Population,economy and Family structure in Hertfordshire in 1851' Volume 2 St Albans and it's regions It includes the the Census Enumerators' Returns for 1851 in Wheathampstead Harpenden Redbourne Sandridge St Peters The out-hamlets in the liberty of St Albans St Albans St Michaels(Urban) St Michaels (rural) St Albans workhouses St Stephens Has a name Index. I have the Electoral Roll for 2001 and will try and find any LIVING relatives. If the name is 'common', a middle initial helps and a possible area of the country. Will put names on spreadsheet if that will help. Nesta
