Find Ancestors

Does anyone know where I can find marriages for surname of Darvell for 1925 Q4 and 1929 Q4 as these appear to be missng on the ancestry site?

I'm looking for a Rose Darvell marrying Alfred Rogers, could be anytime from 1922 to 1935 but I can't seem to locate it.

Could be later, my grandad was born in 1921 and Alfred was not his father so definately not earlier.

As far as I know it was a first marriage, but you never know.....
Rose Rogers was a child they had, do not know exact birth year but somewhere around 1934.

Was DARVELL her maiden name or perhaps her first married surname.

If Rose was born DARVELL her second marriage would have been registered under her previous married name.

Yes my Grandfather was illegitimate and so was his older sister Florence.
My grandfather and great aunts fathers are not named on their birth certificate, although my grandfather put his fathers name as Ernest Darvell on his marriage cert, no idea where this came from....

I have made a painstaking database of all Darvell marriages, births and deaths from 1837 to 2005 and Rose does not appear at all.

I cannot find the birth of their daughter Rose either as I do not know if in fact she was their daughter or Alfreds from a first marriage....

I also have a copy of Rose's death cert and it has Darvell as her maiden name.

i can only find one marriage for a Rose L Darvell to a Geoffery G Baker, Hendon, vol 3a, page 522, jan-feb-mar 1922.

My Grandfathers name is Arthur

Rose Darvell's father was George Darvell, mother Matilda Turvey, she was born 3/5/1894, Chesham in Buckinghamshire.

I have no idea where they would have married, Rose was living in Chesham when my Grandfather was born, she died in Watford my Great Aunt is in Peterborough and my Grandfather supported Wolverhampton Wanderders FC as that was supposedly where he was brought up......

It's a different Rose but I have already been in contact with Anne as we do have a link.
