Bunny Austin was a famous tennis player:
Henry Wilfred "Bunny" Austin
The nickname Bunny came from a comic strip, Pip, Squeak and Wilfred.
Very useful.

Search shows Bunny often used for Benjamin.
Also for surnames beginning with Bun*.
