Margaret. I hate to admit it, but I am stumped! The only other thing is to ascertain Herbert's birthplace. Have you got his father's details to hand?

Nice find Jansmith - you are very good at finding the most obscure things I have noticed!
Interesting change of occupation, but I am pretty sure you are right - thank goodness for Selina!

Wow! thanks Jan that must be them, what a star! i cound not find them when i looked, they eventually settled in Bolton Lancashire were they lived the rest of ther lives, Herbert was a musician at one time found him age 14 at Barnes Industrial school for boys in Manchester, and i remember him playing the clarinet and violin when i was a kid. there is some mis spelling which is not unusual - their daughter was named Sabina not Salina she was my mother and an only child so i was surprised they had a child together that didnt survive, is there any detail of when this child was born? thank you again for your time and good detective work.
Margaret :-)

Thanks Jan,
It looks like a possiable, my mother did mention there were other children but that they never lived, i think she said they were all still born but im not sure, Margaret Mason still remains a bit of a mystery, I found her in 1901 census in Stockport and recently found her unmarked grave in Heaton Cemetery Bolton with the kind help of the Cemetery Superitendent, no one had visited her grave for 63 years which is sad, I keep getting a bit further slow but sure.
Thanks again for all your help, and good luck in your own research.
Margaret. :-)
