You can come out now Gins :-D :-D

I've been reinstated unless the phantom button pusher has struck again. So you can see the level of naughty that I can sink to ;-)

MC I did notice that yours hasn't been but perhaps it's because you called the button pusher a coward for not declaring it. Perhaps you caused upset and offence ;-)

I bet it was P.

Morning Gins, morning Jonesey and morning all

I can't be dealing with flannel for flannel's sake. It's probably why I like MC so much. Good honest friendship is always refreshing.

Morning MC. Hope it's okay and not to over-soppy to call you friend :-D

Jill - you have hit the nail on the head! Friendship includes being able to call people names and be rude without falling out.

So :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P

Almost choked with laughter MC and I'm not exagerating. My eyes are watering now. :-)

I had a lovely colleague and those around us worried because we were so mean and nasty to each other. What they never realised was we actually got on so well, we could be that mean and nasty and it was also a way of dealing with the crap of the day. So we always just said that if we started being nice to each other that would be worrying. :-D

Any dear, lovely person (sticks fingers down throat) I hope that you have a very bright and happy Saturday. :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P

Jill - I have the exact same scenario at work. The lass I share an office with (she also happens to be my boss, but that counts for nowt) calls me all sorts of names and I give back worse than I get. Somebody came into the office once and found me in tears, they retreated embarrassed and went and told people "things have gone too far this time" - what they didn't realise was that I was crying with laughter!

The same lass and I have been through thick and thin together and would never hesitate to turn to the other when we needed a real friend's help.

My friend in London who I love dearly and is so much more like a sister to me and I call each other all sorts of names. The ones we can use in a public space are things like Old Bag and Old Bat. Privately they are not so polite but very funny. Sometimes we sound like we are bickering but we really aren't. When our two families were on holiday together a couple of weeks ago, someone asked if we were sisters. We said 'chosen ones'.

I think that we are both incredibly lucky to have friendships of this kind. I have two other chosen sisters. My own never was much of one.

Anyway, just so that you don't think I'm having a sudden attack of nice. Shove off and go do something useful because I'm going to.

:-P :-P :-P

MarieCeleste Report 18 Aug 2012 12:58
