Mel Fairy Godmother Report 21 May 2013 11:29

A while ago I could'nt copy and paste from Ancestry to this site. My oh changed my browser and it was ok for a while but now it has happened again.

I have tried refreshing both pages to both sites but still my work comes out all spread out and it is so frustrating. GGGRRRRR

CupCakes Report 21 May 2013 15:33

It is the main reason I don't answer so much. Before I edited my copy 'n paste somebody has already found the info.

Personally I find it very hard to follow any message which has huge white line spacing. Being considerate I think of others like me.

SylviaInCanada Report 21 May 2013 19:17

Does it make any difference depending on WHICH browser you are using???

I now use only Mozilla Firefox

what are others using???

My version of William H Bradley from ancestry, posted by Jax above ..........

1911 Census

Name: William H Bradley
Age in 1911: 32
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1879

County/Island: Staffordshire
Country: England
Street Address: 5 A King Edmund St, Dudley
Marital Status: Married
Occupation: Groom Domestic
Registration District: Dudley
Registration District Number: 372

William H Bradley 32
Caroline Bradley 31

I do have to then look at the image to add personal details ........ but that has always been the case.

I usually type in the heading ....... ie, 1911 Census ........ rather than c&p that ........ but it makes no difference is one c&p's all in one ...............

I have no problems whatsoever using Chrome, plus it's the safest browser according to reviews and comparisons.

Kense

Kense Report 21 May 2013 19:24

Yes Sylvia it does matter which browser. I tried an Anc'y record using IE9 and it was spaced, the same record using Firefox was normal.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 21 May 2013 19:50

Thanks, Ken

so does that mean it is an IE problem or a GR problem?
