hi I am researching May Jeeves born Romford 1905 I have her marriage to Ernest Moulds 1921 in Huntingdon I have her marriage 1934 to Ernest Steels 1934 in Edmonton but I am not able to find a divorce for her any help would be appreciated.
when her son Derek was born in 1934 mothers name was given as Neals .

What did she say about her status when she re-married? I assume you have the cert?

Are you 100% certain the woman who married in 1934 was the one who married in 1921 - when she would have been only 16?

And how does the name Neals fit with her maiden name, which you say was Jeeves?

Not all divroce records are archived from that time and may not have survived,,,,,,,most from that time are usually found witin the National Archives ,but its not listed,,,,,it may have appeared in a local paper.?

This seems more likely to be the one who married in Huntingdon.

I think the maiden name has been mistranscribed,,as Neals.and a GRO error.

Edit ,maybe a false name was given as Meals is used for another child.?

The two 1930s births dont match with mothers maiden name,,one mistake could be an error but 2 just doesnt add up.?
