I am looking for Charles Brett born possibly in 1834, whose father was John Brett. He married Anna Maria Cason whose father was Samuel Cason in 1861, DISS, Norfolk. Their daughter was Elizabeth Mary Ann Brett who moved to marry "Walter" Christopher Backler in Haverhill, Suffolk. Do you have details on Charles Brett? Or do you know any Parish Records I can try look up on him (while IGI is not that reliable). Caz

Hi Guys, I live in Norfolk and there is a brilliant (free) transcriptions website which has helped me a lot. I recognise a lot of the names people are looking for from those records. Here is the website, good luck. http://www.genealogy.doun.org/transcriptions/index There is also a Norfolk family history society and if you have a good idea of dates/place, the Norfolk Records Office do a look up and photocopy service for £10 per half hour. They have a web site where you can email your requests.

I am researching HOWS. All I know is my ancestor was born in Norfolk in 1825. He moved to Lincolnshire and married in Boston in 1858. Am completely stumped by this, although one kind GR memeb ber did suggest he may be from Great Cressingham as many Hows' were there around 1841 census time. (a puzzled) Estelle
