Hi May, I'm afraid I can't find James and Elizabeth. Have you managed to find them on the 1901 census? I looked on the 1881 and also checked for them and did find a Robert Nesbitt with younger brother James in an industrial school in Gosport. I'll have another try later

Hi Lucy, Thank you very much for looking for me. I did look on the 1901 but no luck. I found them on the 1881 census but think they must have died shortly after that as there is no sign of them. Can't even find their deaths. Where did you find the information about the children please so I can have a look. I am trying all ways to get to his father William Noble-Nesbitt and mother Barbara but everywhere is a deadend. Thank you again Lucy for your help May

Hi Elton, I can't find Daniel or Martha either. The only thing that comes close although the age is way out is Martha Bowman, head, age 55, born Hertforshire London City, Living Furneux Pelham, Herts. RG12/1099, Folio 42, page 3. Unfortunately, it's one of those schedules which is totally illegible so I cannot check any of the details.

Kim, Is there any chance that this family split up? I think I may have found them but they are living separately. Can you also confirm the husband's name. You've asked for James Dowson but when I checked on the 1881 census it's listed there as John. The record I've found on the 1891 census is for a John Dowson, joiner, born Evenwood.

Hi Laurie, William Standing, head, mar, 38, bricklayer, Kent Lambhurst Jane Standing, wife, mar, 33, Kent Southborough 58 Rowena Crescent RG12/432, Folio 92, Page 18 Battersea, London I have already found Francis and Thomas Standring for you, when I was looking for Charles Constant. Francis was mistranscribed as Flauding! that information is posted on here somewhere! Thomas appears to be living with Francis and his family. I cannot find anything for Thomas Tusdale, however, there is a Thomas Teasdale the right age born Plumstead - he is single and seems to be living with his brother or other relation. Do you think this could be him? his occupation is "waiter"
