I have a baptism for one of my ancestors at Holy Trinity, Coventry, in 1826, and the abode is given as "Arnold Place".

Does anyone happen to know if that's actually in Coventry? Her place of birth is given as Keresley on the censuses.

Also, does anyone happen to have access to parish registers for Exhill?

Hi Kal
Just a small query on the London Road burials.

I have these on disc as well but have never been able to "cut and paste" the info on it to a word doc. It means laboriously typing out which at my typing speed is very slow.
Is there a trick to it or am I missing something

Hi Sylvia,

No unfortunatley you do have to laboriously type the info, but the info i put re the codes above, for some reason it did let me cut and paste
Shame really because it would be much easier

I have both Trevor Harkin's excellent books, the one on the Bablake School WW1 Roll of Honour and the new one on the fallen from WW1 who have plaques in the Memorial Park.

I am happy to search these if anyone would like me to.

I'm also reasonably good on the histories of Earlsdon and Chapelfields and watchmaking if that might help.

Regarding Watchmaking, have you ever come across Charles Flint?? HE lived in Craven Street (his house has a blue plaque on) at one pint he employed quite a few people at Coventry hertitage weekend we managed to see a Charles Flint watch but we still have little information about his watchmaking. We have managed to find him on Census records which has shown he once lived in Barrs Hill house His not my relation but my friends and we have both serached to still come back with no more than we know.
