Oven pride is the answer for your shelves in the oven it comes in a box with a big bag, it's fantastic stuff but expensive. buy it from tesco's, sainsbury's ect.

My friend lent me her G101 car engine cleaner to do my oven yesterday. She uses it all the time. My oven has come up like new. It comes in a 5 litre bottle which you dilute 50/50 and put it in a spray bottle. I'm definitely going to invest in some.

Here in Australia we have something called NAPISAN it's for soaking babies nappies to get them white. You will have something similar in other countries
It brings oven shelves up beautiful. I soak them overnight if possible or for a few hours. Use Hot water enough to cover them all with with a Cupful of NAPISAN. If you can't get them in the sink then a large Garbage bag is ideal. I do mine in my Laundry trough.

Used to use that when my kids were in nappies many years ago. Didn't know you could still buy it. lol

I dishwash mine, remove them from the washer will they are still hot, then attack any baked on bits with wire wool.

I work in a kitchen and we found the best thing for oven shelves was very, very hot water and fairy liquid. We found this out one day when we didn't have any oven cleaner...lol...

I used to put them in the dishwasher when I lived in my old house.
I use fairy but don't think it's as good as it was.

Honestly they're not bad, was just wanting to make them look a bit better, but can live with them the way they are.
