Hi Jean and Sallie.
I have alerted all the holiday resorts,around the country,that a young lady
called Jean and her OH are going to be arriving soon. They are on red alert,they have got the red carpets out to welcome them,coz it looks like
Jean and J are about to hit the hot spots.
I hope J gets on well on Monday,at the specialists.
It sounds like you have been a busy bee Sallie. I am glad your friend is
recovering. Have the hospital said anything more to her.
Roly saw the eye specialist yesterday,and he has now been discharged.
Thank the lord that is one hurdle surmounted.
We have been having a really lazy day today,just lounging around the house. I have just done the ironing,that I have been putting off doing.
It's been such a good drying day for the washing,that when I bought it in,and added it to the bits waiting to be ironed,I felt guilty and had to do it.
Honest guv,I plead guilty to being lazy the last few days.
Sorry girls,the senility is taking over now. lol
I hope Sue,Debbie, Huia,Marie and Marilyn that you are all well.
Take care my cyber friends,speak to you soon. Love Mo xxx

Hi Jean & Mo,

Jean, I'm so pleased to hear that all went well at the clinic for J. It's such a relief for both of you to know that it's going in the right direction.
Just have your holiday to think about now. The pub lunch you had sounds nice Jean. I really fancy some braised steak now!

Mo, I'm also pleased that Roly has been discharged by the eye specialist.
As you say that's one hurdle over. Nice to have a lazy day now and again Mo, I think at our time of life we deserve it after years of working. I use to feel guilty after having a lazy day - not anymore.

My friend goes to see the consultant a week on Friday, so hopefully they'll tell her how things are then. I missed her shopping today, so until she is able to go again, I'm getting a few bits and bobs for her when I go.

The hospital phoned Jennie yesterday, to tell her to stop taking one of her tablets, as her white cell blood count is down a bit. She had to go for a blood test this morning, and the hospital is going to ring and let her know the result on Friday. So we are keeping our fingers crossed. There's always something to worry about, isn't there. Although, I think I am more worried than Jennie. She always looks on the positive side. Which is good!

I hope Marie, Sue, Marilyn, Huia and Debbie are all okay.

Take care of yourselves everyone!

Best wishes to you all.

E.Bay,oh come on Jean,be like Viv Nicholson from years ago,when she won all that money,and SPEND SPEND SPEND. lol.
Are you like me,when I have any spare money,I go out with the intention of
buying something to wear,and can't find a thing,and when I am skint,I always see something I would like.
Yummy braised steak,I have just eaten chicken curry. I am daft,I used two
chicken breasts,and honest,they looked to be the size of a whole chicken.
There was just so much,I should have split the meal in two,and had it for two days,but no not me,now I am absolutely stuffed,and I didn't eat it all.
Daft mare that I am,I never engage the brain till it's to late.
Oh Sallie,I do hope Jennie is going to be o.k. I will say a prayer for her tonight.
Please send her my best wishes.
Well girls,this daft bat will say bye bye for now. Love Mo xxx

Hi Everyone,
Nice to hear from you Marie. Sorry to hear that Emily still isn't better - I hope she will be better soon.

I've had quite a busy day today, trying to get the house organised before Richard and his girlfriend arrives. The trouble is, because I do scrapbooking, our dining room gets in a bit of a mess with photos, paper, card and everything else that I'm using. So I've had a bit of a clear up today.
I've also had Jennie's friend and her six year old daughter here, they dropped in on their way home from school and stayed a couple of hours.
So we had youtube on with all the party songs. Chloe has had both her mum and me doing the hokey cokey, ymca, the music man and more, with her. I was glad to have a rest when they had gone home. Still, it was good fun!

I hope you are all okay. Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Best wishes to you all,

Hi girls.
How are you all tonight?
Marie,I am sorry to hear your grandaughter is still not to good. There are so many bugs going round at the moment,that no one is completely immune from them. So please take good care of yourself.
Your weather should improve soon though shouldn't it?well I hope it does
so that you can get back in your garden again,and enjoy yourself.
A bit of sun makes all the difference doesn't it.
We have had heavy rain again,I don't know what has happened to our weather just lately,it's supposed to be summer for goodness sake.
It sounds like you have had an enjoyable day Sallie.
All that dancing sounds like fun. At least it gave you a small break from
tidying the house for a while. Even though you had more clearing up afterwards.
I am sure you will have a lovely time,when Richard arrives. It's always lovely to see family isn't it.
Well folks,I am of to my bed now.
Have a lovely weekend. Love to you all. Mo xxx

Deborah Report 26 Jul 2009 14:18

Hi Everybody, I'm so sorry that I haven't been here for so long. I've just been reading all of the messages, and thank you for asking about me. I hope that all the aches, pains and ailments are clearing up and that Sallie, Jennie is doing well. Her medication certainly cost a lot, but you cannot put a price on health really, can you? As someone said, that is what Social Security are there for.

I actually haven't been away yet. I had a few problems with my computer which took ages to get sorted as I'm not the most efficient person when it comes to technology and its various temprements. We have also had a bit of a health crisis in the family and I think it all got on top of us a bit. Hubby hasn't been at all well, with worrying about his Dad, but all is ok now. In fact. the first 6 months of this year have been the hardest we have ever had, with various family members becoming very ill, a cousin having her husband cheat on her (after 24 years of marriage), and 2 relations pass away. They say that things go in 3's, well I think that ours have gone in 33's!!!!

Anyway, all is as well as it can be at the moment. Daniel & Matthew had a ball on their Activity Weeks, Luke & Sophie had a lovely end to term and Luke won the class prize for Year 3, so we were very proud of him. Luckily for us (and them) the children all had very good end of year reports, so we started off the summer holidays on the right note.

Last week, Luke & Sophie were on a Sports Course all week, which they loved. Daniel & Matthew spent most of the week fishing. They go in all weathers and usually manage to catch something. Though not all of it comes home with them. Last Friday I took D & M and a couple of friends late night fishing as the tides were exceptionally high and we fished on the tide till about 10.30pm. It was great fun, and all the children managed to catch something big enough to take home.

We are going away this coming Friday. Our usual holiday "plans". We get the boat to France then just go wherever we fancy. We have a large enough car to travel comfortably, we take a tent and just see where we end up. Not everyones ideal holiday, but great fun. We are considering the region around Andorra, but with all the dry weather and the fires in Europe at the moment, we may re-consider. Knowing our luck it will rain for the 16 days we are away.

I'd better be off for now. Thank you all so much for your thouhgts. I am fine, just trying to keep the family sane at the moment. I'll be glad to get away and have a good time with my own family.

Best wishes to you all.

Hi Everyone,
Sue, thank you for asking about Jennie, everything seems to be alright at the moment, but they will keep monitoring her, because there is a very slight chance that the medication can cause problems with the blood.
I hope all goes well at the hospital for you. My niece had trouble with her four wisdom teeth, she had them all taken out at the hospital. I know a few people that have had trouble with their wisdom teeth, too.
I love it when our Chloe comes, we have had a lot to do with her since she was born. We have a bit of fun, playing games and dancing. You can always send your youngest over for the fun and games Sue. There's no charge, it's all free!

Debbie, it's lovely to see you back. Sorry, things haven't been going too well for you. It's such a shock when you hear about a marriage breaking up, especially after so many years.
Well done, to the children on having such excellent school reports. They make you feel so proud. It starts at home with the parents, so you and hubby can give each other a pat on the back.
I'm sure Daniel, Matthew and their friends thoroughly enjoyed themselves on their fishing trip. Did you cook any of the fish?
I hope you will have good weather for your holiday in France.

It's very quiet here today, so I am hoping to do a page of the srapbook I am making. Some pages I know exactly what I want to do, and then get a block on what to do on other pages. But I enjoy doing it!

Mo, Jean, Marie, Huia and Marilyn, hope all is well with you and your families.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!

Best wishes to you all.

Hello ladies,good to hear fro you.
Sue,I can't wait for Ice Age Three to come out on D.V.D,we have the first two. And being the big kids we are we loved them. Mind you we watched them several times,and found bits that we had not spotted the first times
round. And with us having warped sense of humours,found them so amusing.
I hope they don't keep you waiting to long for your dental appointment.
It seems we have to wait for everything in this country doesn't it.
Hello Debbie you stranger,it's so good to catch up with you.
It sounds like you have had a hell of a year so far,keep your chin up love,
god willing it won't get any worse.
You deserve your break away,possibly to Andorra. I am sure you will enjoy
yourselves wherever you end up.
Have you got a people carrier,to take the whole family in.?
It sounds like all the children have been enjoying themselves.
You are brave taking the children night fishing. Mind you,I suppose you are lucky living where you do. We certainly could not do that here,for fear of being assaulted in some way.
Even though here where we live,is quite a small place,there has been a couple of murders not far from us. And quite frankly,it's a bit scaring,so I do not venture out alone after dark.
Sounds like you are busy again Sallie,with your scrap booking.
I am afraid I am not exactly the most patient of people,and would lose interest to quickly to do it. So I am jealous really.
I have to go now,to do dinner. So I will speak to you again soon.
Love to all. Big ~~~~~~~to Jean,Marilyn and Huia.~~~~~~Mo xxx

~~~ back to Mo and co.
Have had a few bad nights sleep but I am still alive and kicking, albeit with a rotten headache. I have decided my numerous boxes of material which are waiting to be made up into something will have to wait much longer while I sort through the rest of the 'junk' so they can go up in the attic to give me more room for sorting the other stuff. My OH does not like having things in the attic in case a gale blows the roof off (hasnt in the 36 yrs we have been here) and blows my stuff all over the countryside.
Better get on with things. He has washed our breakfast dishes and is now drying them so I will need to find where he has put everything.
When I went to the kitchen my OH shooshed me and pointed out the window at a little pied tomtit which was sitting just under the window. I went to get my camera and it flew off but landed on a shed roof just within nice sight of the dining room window, which I carefully opened and then zoomed in on him and took 13 photos before he flew off. I think he was deliberately posing for me, the little show-off. Now I must download them to my computer and choose the best. What a pity we cant put decent photos on these threads as I can on another site I am on.
Well,Well, Well. Welcome back Grace,It's been ages since we heard from you,but it's such a lovely surprise to log on and find you are back.
So sorry to hear your bad news about your garden. We have a fox that comes around here at three-o-clock on a tuesday morning,and rakes through all the rubbish that has been put out for the dustmen. We know it's at that time,as Roly is very often awake at that time of the morning,looking out the bedroom window,as he gets the cramps in his legs.
Don't worry about the weather,the rain is due to clear from our region tommorrow,or so they tell us. [ I will believe it when I see it ].
Pop back and let us know how you are enjoying yourself.
Huia,our fox would make a lovely photograph for you,it's a pity I am not as
clever as you,at taking pics,or I would have taken one for you.
I tell you what girls,I have seen some of Huia's photo's,and they are really good.
So you have a lttle poser in that pied tomtit Huia. Perhaps it will come back for an encore.
I hope your headache cleared up. Theres nothing worse is there,other than a toothache.
I had to chuckle at what you said about the roof being blown away,and all
your stuff being blown over the countryside.
Mind you,Roly is as bad. When we go to bed,he checks everything is locked,twice before he will go up. He can't settle unless he has done it.
Hello our little flower Jean.
What brilliant news about J. Are you sure they never took anything else out when they operated. Fancy not telling you they took the appendix out as well. Still that's another thing J wont have to worry about.
Hurry and book your holiday,before they fill the spaces and you can't get in.
You could probably get booked in down here some where,but it's along way away.
Grace would be a good person to ask actually,as she is holidaying not far from me. You could find out what it's like where she is.
I think I will have to p.m Marilyn as we have not heard from her,since she got back from the states.
I would love to see your photo's Jean. We can all visualise what each other looks like,but we are probably miles out on our suppositions.
Bye for now everyone. Speak again tommorrow. Love to you all. Mo xxx
