Hope you had a good birthday Babs.

Evening ladies, been a miserable day here lots and lots of rain, but this evening has been lovely, but has turned really cold now.

Well baby Jessica was taken back into hospital at the weekend as the midwife thought she had a blockage but she is now at home and feeding well and finally putting on weight.

Have managed to make several cards today, which makes a nice change for me. Also had an order for 2 baby word books which are finished and delivered!!

Hello all.

Have just taken down my cards and it was lovely to see such a wide variety of designs, 23 in all from our group and another 25 from other crafty friends. My craft groups thought they were great :)

Hi Jill, Isn't it great to see all the different designs? At least you can use them to give your craft group ideas.
How are the new lambs doing?

Lambs are chasing about all over the field, enjoying the sun :)
Have you tried running wax paper through your embossing CB folder then sandwich it between normal card, don't use gloss, then iron it .You can then sponge ink, (I used distress inks over both pieces of card) and get two different effect.
I cut each piece into two squares then mounted all four onto a larger square card, looks very pretty.

Jo Happy birthday, I am sorry, your card is going to be late but it is on its way to you.

Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes, and lovely birthday cards, had a quiet day but then all the kids and grandchildren arrived for tea!!!! Made a lovely chocolate birthday cake for them as the little ones love to keep blowing out the candles then went out with hubby's niece and her husband for a lovely meal.

Weather not as nice today cold and windy, yesterday was sunny but windy in the morning, although it did turn really cold in the afternoon.



I see that a lot of the UK airports are closed because of the volcano in Iceland, hope it doesn't affect anyones holiday plans!

Yes, it is me, back again. I have been very busy but hope from now on to be able to contribute more to this thread.
Yesterday I was able to sleep for the first time with my mask on the whole night. Usually I wake up in the morning and find I have thrown the thing off in the night, or it is wiggled itself off. Anyway, let's hope I can keep this up now.
Wat fantastic weather we are having. I went into town today with Johan as we thought there was a music concert on, but it was something for children. It was held in our new library.This was the first time I have see the new library. I was disappointed as the entrance is so cold looking. You have to take the lift to the first floor where the information stand is and the t oilets. This is a problem for me. I couldn't get upstairs in the lift with my scootmobile. Fortunately we had our mobile folding scootmobile with us today so could get upstairs. I was hoping in the f uture to be able to go on my own and not have to have Johan with me. This won't be possible now.
I have to make a card for a friend I met on the internet. She has just become grandma. She sent me a photo of the baby, so I have copied this into a file and printed it to be able to use it in a card I want to make for her. The only trouble is that I don't know how to print the picture in a smaller size.
I managed to buy some bargain leggings and tops today so am looking forward to wearing them.
Hope that everybody is fine. Please forgive me if I have not answered a letter or if you have asked something else and I've not answered but this should be better in the future. This has been due to my illness apneu.

Sylvia, pleased that the mask now seems to be working well for you, hopefully you will soon start to feel much better.
It is a shame when they built the new library they did not take account of people in scootmobiles or even place a disabled toilet on the ground floor.

Have a rotten cough, cold and sore throat at the moment so have not been able to see my new granddaughter for a week, getting withdrawal symptoms!! At least it doesn't affect me looking after my other grandchildren as they gave it to me in the first place!!!!!!!

The weather here was really cold and miserable today
