Ooh Sylvia, that sounded painful, I hope by now your face is back to normal and that you feel better.
Sorry not to have been on for a while, we were in Tenerife for two weeks and it has been manic with various appointments since we got home. I now have 4 stitches in my thigh where yet another small rodent ulcer was removed last Thursday, stitches due to come out next Monday (29th) and at the same time I have to have my right ear syringed. (really looking forward to Monday morning as you may guess).

I have made 135 Christmas cards and am now halfway through an 8x8 scrap book of Grandson's wedding, I usually do 12x12 books so it is strange having to think small. Have also made birthday cards for a few months ahead.

Hope you are all well and keeping busy craftwise. :-D

Ann, hope everything went well for you. I have made all my birthday cards through to next April, was on a roll and just kept going, only thing have not finished one Christmas card yet, have 50 half made, just need finishing touches and inserts, now I need to get the rest made, its just finding the time at the moment as I am so busy with one thing or another. Have packed all my crafting goodies away as having new double glazing fitted next week, so will have to wait a whole week before I can get it all back out and get moving on my cards.

Hope your weather is OK , mild here at the moment, lets hope it doesn't bring more rain.

Hugs Joxx

Hi Jo, yes everything is fine thanks. Have finished making Christmas cards and back to birthday cards now. As I have made over 150 I don't put inserts in all of them.

Have we had the Christmas groups yet? I haven't missed them have I. No problem it is just I have missed a couple of e mails swapping between this main pc and my IPad.

Hope the double glazing goes ok.

Ann x :-)

Hi all,
I was sorry to get the email saying that Sylvia is in hospital. I don't think it was a planned stay was it? I hope it won't be too long before she is back out again.

From the email Ann, I assume that it was definitely not planned and that it could be a while before we hear anything. Her daughter speaks English but has difficulty writing it.

Jo, have you sent out the christmas lists yet? have I missed them?

Poor Sylvia she has had a bit of a rough time this past year and then with her face being so bruised after her teeth problems. I will send her a card I think.

Jo Jo

Jo Jo Report 12 Nov 2012 12:56

Just a few words from me. Yes, my stay wasn't planned In fact I don't know much about it. I lost a few days in my memory. Poor Johan had nightmares. He couldn't get a doctor or ambulance to take him seriously when I was in a deep sleep. I was in intensive care for 12 days . I suffer from apneu and have to sleep with a mask but this mask has not been functioning well. A bit like putting your face on to te back of an exhaust car and and dying from the fumes.
I was really spoilt in Intensive care and it was pure ouxury - even an air bed. I now have lost a terific amount of weight - what a good thing I had it to loose!
I managed to keep the nurses both male and female laughing in the Intensive care. Anyway it is good to be home again. Am now doing catch up on Xmas cards. Sorry girls - those I didn't send birthday cards too - better luck next time.
My house doctor came in last Friday and spent 2 hours with me apologising saying he had made a huge mistake in thinking I was going dement. He takes all the blame. It was nice to hear him do that. I said everybody can make a mistake and said I had forgiven him.
For those who sent me cards may I say a big thank you.
Will close for now. Love Sylvia xxx

Lovely to see you posting and you do sound better Sylvia. You did have us worried for a while. Please thank your daughter for notifying us where you were. Poor Johan, it must have been so worrying for him. Will they give you a new mask now? It sounds as if you need one. Don't panic about Christmas cards, I am sure your friends on here will understand if we don't receive one from you this year.

I hope that you continue to feel better and that you enjoy christmas. :-)

Sylvia, do not even think about making the group birthday cards, we all understand how poorly you have been. It is lovely to see you back on here posting, and that you are now feeling so much better, poor Johan, he will need a holiday now to get over the shock. I did write to your daughter to say thank you for letting us know that you were poorly in hospital, hope she could understand me. Make sure you take it easy and look after yourself and get plenty of rest.

Here we are again. It has been lovely weather here today, but I had to stay in with so many commitments. I was, however, out yesterday and it was good to get out.
I had the girl first to come and help me wash and dress and the central heating mechanic who has put in all new bits which makes it easier to turn the heating on. I had my hairdresser who gave me a perm, I had my help in the house. The man came from the hospital to fetch info on my mask. I made a large pan of thick Dutch pea soup. Must get down to more cards now. Fortunatley I started card making early this year.
My daughter has found an English shop in Hilversum and they have just about everything English you could think about - must pay them a visit soon.
See you again tomorrow.

Evening Sylvia sounds like you have been very busy day, make sure you don't over do it, don't want you back in hospital!! No card making for me have been out all day and have only just arrived back from daughters, and I am so tired I am off to bed in a few minutes. Have to make my granddaughters 9th birthday cake tomorrow ready for her party on Saturday, which she is having for some reason at my house. Then I have a large 40 cake to make for my daughter for mid week, need to get it made and in the freezer so that it will be easier to ice and transport! I keep telling myself I will get my cards made........ Just need some spare time.........

Oh Jo, you are a lady who can do everything, I wish I could. I am going to have to buy my Xmas cake this year. Fortunately I have found this English shop in Hilversum, so can buy one and decorate it myself.
Lovely weather here still, although snow expected tomorrow. Hope to go to the market though.
I still don't have Jill's address - still the French one.
