online.

i don't usually watch but caught a bit just now looking at how many men target a supposedly '13year old girl' online, 30 men in a couple of minutes...they will be returning to the item throughout the program.

It's not that I'm surprised as I know full well it happens, it's just the numbers and the fact that they don't even attempt to hide that they are older men ( ie not teenagers like the 'girl' herself).

This morning are going to cover this subject all week, However aweful it is I think its a good thing to make parents aware of the danagers of the web and these chat rooms. I'm lucky my daughter and sil are on the botton.

Kay????

Kay???? Report 5 Nov 2012 13:56

some parents are still with all the publicity unware what their youngesters are up to in chat rooms, never question it ,never delve in their activities on the net, they even allow their youngester to meet up with their **net friends**,,,,,,,,"""as long as your home by such a time,"""

some youngesters agree to meet out of intrigue of whats taken place during a *chat*........youngesters need making aware of unsavory types from the street to the net.

these net chasers use youngesters as a finding aid to other youngesters as do child abusers.

More are being caught thank goodness ,through work done by the police and other organisations who set up a *chat*to catch these vile people.....

Well said Kay????. You are so right in what you have said.

I know Julia,,,,,,,its made even more of a much bigger problem as youngesters get the latest away from home I want gadets, net phones and the like that youngesters as young as 10 are getting that parents just havnt a clue what they are capable of.

I can *chat* as easy as anything from my phone,,,,not a clue who they could be.

so its not just a home PC where they carry out their seedy lust.....

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 5 Nov 2012 15:30

do they intend to do the thing in reverse..........

ie see how many "ladies" answer a young lads' request?

Bob

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 5 Nov 2012 15:35

Why ask that, Bob?

Don't you think it's awful that older men are encouraging children to strip for webcams?

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 5 Nov 2012 15:52

Its not that Guin, but it ALWAYS seems to be the trend that it is ONLY men that are pervs......,

when we know for a fact that women can be as bad, if not worse, than men..........

MH,and RW ........ a couple of women that WERE evil................

Guinevere Report 5 Nov 2012 15:59

The vast majority of child abusers are men - statistics prove it. I'm concerned that you said nothing to condemn that just changed the subject to women abusers.

If you knew anything about the subject you'd know that female abusers abuse children known to them, they don't trawl the web looking for children like male abusers do.

Do you honestly think that many women go to chat rooms to get young boys to strip?

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 5 Nov 2012 16:12

I dont know, I dont frequent chat rooms, or facebook or twitter , or gossip columns,(except maybe this one...ie Genes)
but I wouldnt put it past some ......and no, I am not "In the Know" as you put it,

but on the other hand Yes It DOES frighten me, in a way.

I have young grandchildren and I would hope that MY children have been sensible enough to monitor what their children get up to , and to educate them on the dangers of the adult world.
I have heard/read about too many very young children allowed to roam the streets while their parents appear to have not the slightest bit of interest in their outdoor activities... the fact that teenage pregnancies are still on the increase is a pointer to that........lack of interest and a lack of moral education..

thats just MY opinion, mind.....

Bob

Rambling Report 5 Nov 2012 16:15

Oddly enough Bob, without thinking I used a name that can be either boy or girl, and my opening post was 'Hi anyone wanna chat?".

I wasn't so much surprised by the 'offers' just the speed at which they appeared, and to be frank the lack of 'preliminaries'... even on the adult sites where one occasionally gets 'propositioned' there is usually a bit of 'chat' first!

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 5 Nov 2012 16:19

Sadly there are parents who do not look out for their children which is why men are able to abuse young girls in this way. As demonstrated by the TV programme.

If there was widespread concern or evidence that the same was happening to boys I'm sure the programme would have addressed that as well.

As a society we have to find a way to stop these predatory padophiles from doing this. I hope the publicity given to these men, if they are traced, will serve as a lesson to others tempted to try the same sick ideas.
