Abu Qatada is demanding to be rehoused at the taxpayer’s expense, less than 12 months after being moved to his current home. He wanted to inflict harm on our country. Following his release from prison he will be watched by police and security services around the clock. The surveillance operation is likely to cost the taxpayer more than £5 million a year. May I suggest that the Government make sure that he is deported to a new home in Jordan."

What's wrong with the house he has?? :-0

If, for some reason, he needs a bigger one, perhaps they could re-locate him out of the Capital to an area with cheaper but larger housing!

Put him in a slum where he belongs

At the moment he is living in five-bed house in North West London the £1,900-a-month rent is paid by benefits.

Porkie_Pie

Porkie_Pie Report 15 Nov 2012 11:38

He has been on benefits since 1993 when he arrived in the UK on a forged passport and asked for asylum And even after his arrest in 2001 when he was found in possession of £170,000 cash which appears to have not affected his entitlement to benefits

I always thought having large sums of money affected your entitlement to benefits or does that rule only apply to the law abiding Tax paying British citizen

I want a bungalow for me Dad. Not much chance of getting one though.
He is English, never claimed anything off the state in all his 90 years of life, paid into the Tax system all his working life. is not any sort of terrorist, just a cantankerous old sod.
Oh, and he fought for King and country, when, as a young lad he served on the Russian Convoys.
Don't suppose any of that counts though.

I,m pretty sure that arrangements could be made for him to have good accomodation that befits his standing in the UK. The Jordanian Embassy would very pleased to meet his requirements ASAP. Without cost to the Taxpayer.**M**.

I thought there was a cap on the amount the benefits agency would pay for rent.
Wasn't that why they tried to relocate a lot of people out of London?

George_of_Westbury Report 15 Nov 2012 13:37

I would suggest he is rehoused in Hereford at the SAS regiments camp, perhaps he would suffer an accidental death.

The other problem is of course the same as with Abu Hamza, even if deported we will still be paying for the rest of his family to be here.

Its about time we had control over our own affairs, blow all those left wing, do gooders, twits in the EU. who rule what we do in the uk

George

Probably will get "whooshed" but who cares.

Phyll

Phyll Report 15 Nov 2012 13:45

It's about time this Government stood up to the EU and their regulations. I am sick and tired of hearing about anyone who claims asylum that claim all the benefits, NHS treatment and the like without ever having paid a penny into this country. Why the hell do we let them all in - we are such a soft touch and yet when it comes to our 'own' we have to beg for help or face a means test for every penny and then they find ways and means of not giving it to us.

Whilts I'm on me band waggon, what happened to all the money sent to the starving in Africa many, many years ago. They are still in the same situation and still we are asked to donate.

Merlin

Merlin Report 15 Nov 2012 13:47

Sorry George, the Regiment would not allow him in there to contaminate the camp. However I,m sure that the Jordanian Embassy would send him home in one of their Diplomatic Bags, (Preferably a Black Plastic one).**M**.

The Legal Services Commission says that just over £825,000 has been spent on legal aid in the Abu Qatada case. Assets belonging to the preacher worth £217,286 have been frozen to be used towards the final lelegal bill. He is one of the most dangerous extremist preachers in the UK. Where on earth did he get this money from, and why are we continuing to keep him and his family in a Country they clearly hate?

GinN

GinN Report 15 Nov 2012 16:46

It beggars belief, it really does. Maybe they should be a bit lax on security, then someone may get near enough to solve the situation in a fitting way?

This case is another example of the weakness of out pitiful government who haven't the balls to disregard the so called human rights ruling and stick him on a plane out of here, by force if necessary.

He is meant to be a preacher of the Islamic faith, says it all.
All religious extremist are dangerous and evil whatever so called faith they follow.

It also shows how there is a major problem in this country with our benefit system.

i hope his assets of £217,286. are being taxed the same way as my small pittance is. i thought you could only have £1600 in savings..he can well afford to pay for his own and familys upkeep. but we mugs have to pay. something will happen before too long in this country. we have all had enough of the spongers and parasites we have to keep.
