Sad Hayley very sad because you looked at the programme as an adult. I have to agree mind Sue´s voice is annoying and Sooty does whisper a lot which isn´t a good example although all his whispers are said out aloud after so maybe that is good . |

Yes,Mau, we got our first set in 1956, a tiny little thing set in a cabinet with doors. We were the first in our street to get a TV, and I found lots of new "friends" who came knocking in the door to come and watch it! :-D |

I can remember one of our neighbours getting a colour TV that caused a lot of excitement I also remember that we were the first to have a telephone instaled and neighbours coming in to have a look at it, I sat and watched it all evening praying for it to ring so I could answer it, and my mum telling me not to play with it as every time I picked up the receiver it would cost her money , what a liar :-| |
