the BBC to get rid of Susanne Reed from BBC 1 Breakfast. Her voice and smugness is driving me mad, and l feel sorry for poor Bill having to sit next to her.
Lets have Louise instead:)

jude....grrrrrrr

I stopped watching it when Sian left. Never liked Susanna Reid.

Another vote against Ms Reed here. And I loved Sian. And she had a relly in Treherbert who sold his farm to Lord Bute. So her little feet firmly embedded in the local soil :-D :-D

Sian is on lunch time news somedays .Susanne .she is so up herself dont watch morning news, they are news readers not actors :-S

I like Susanna, like Sophie, not too keen on Kate Silverton

JustJohn Report 9 Jan 2013 11:37

The chemistry between Sian and Bill was so special. Think a couple of newsreaders did not want to move house when they went to Manchester. So we are left with second best.

Never worked out why in this technological age, work cannot come to people rather than making people move for work, travel long distances etc. :-S :-S

I like the youngish one that does the out and about stories some mornings...dont' know her name but she always comes across as quite a good laugh...Suzanne is up herself...can't be doing with her at all.

JustJohn Report 9 Jan 2013 12:04

Muffy. There are two I like a lot. The young girl with the Geordie accent who was brilliant with business news and is now being used more widely. And the young one with the slightly horsy face. She seems very nice :-D

Unlike me, who must now sound very horrible. But I can't think of any other way to describe her :-( :-(

What does it matter as long as we get clear, well informed new bulletins?

I loved the interaction between Sian Williams & Bill. Like Steph too, but canĀ“t stand Kate Silverton & not keen on Susanna Reed.
Bring back MacDonald Hobley & Sylvia Peters I say. :-D

Bill Turnbull - like a bottle of pop, but very clever and very solid anchor
Susannah Reid - Commutes to Salford from Lambeth, shows.
Charlie Stayt - pleasant
Louise Minchin - silly girl next door type, cannot pronounce Welsh.
Naga Munchetty - pretty, looks lost.
Mike Bushell - small, game, wackier than Timmy Mallett
Sally Nugent - very tall, very lovely, very nice.
Steph McGovern - sounds like Gazza, but great fun, very relaxed and a star.
Carol Kirkwood - probably daughter of Daphne on Eggheads. Has same sicky effect.
Roger Johnson - good looking, young, clever.

Stil can't find out who one of my favourites is. A new young lady who looks a bit horsey??

~`*`Jude`*`~ Report 9 Jan 2013 14:45

l like Sian, Louise, Steph (business one and quite young), Bill, Charlie and the sports guy, and miss Chris Hollins.

l find Susanne is up herself too and sadly not genuine when she reads the news, l expect atleast that when l hear someone talking about wars, someone dieing etc
we watch the programme because we like the way the rest of the programme is put across, the entertainment etc and catch up with the news on the radio!!

There is soemthing about weather girls that stops us men from knowing what the weather will be.

I first noted this phenomenon when Ulrika Johnson presented the weather. Then gorgeous Becky Mantin on Anglia ITV who kept winking at me every time I was thinking of isobars.

But my favourite of all is cuddly Sue Charles on BBC Wales. I just smile through her forecast and then someone says "what's the weather like tomorrow, dad?" "Alright, mild with a little rain" I reply. Hoping Sue had not said there would be snowdrifts or an unseasonable heatwave. ;-)

HEY JUDE -

If you are going to complain, at least learn to spell the girl's name correctly.
Its Susanna not Susanne and its Reid not Reed.

And I think she is gorgeous.
