Sharron

Sharron Report 6 Mar 2013 21:15

Fred has had a cataract removed.

It seems they were all women in the theatre and he had to hold hands with one of them all the way through.

Having had to forego his sausage sandwich today, we made sure he had his fish and chips when he came back and I can tell you that cataract surgery doesn't affect your appetite at all, or your taste for a drop of whiskey..

He will see how much whiskey I give him now too!

MY OH, younger than Fred, had one cataract done last October and the second done on January 9. He is currently waiting for his new glasses to be made.

He is also still trying to live down the first comment he made back in October when I walked into the recovery room to take him home.....................

"Oh, your hair is really white!"

:-D :-D :-D

Oh Sylvia, your o.h. should think before he speaks lol Glad he is doing well tho.

Sharron, very glad Fred has had the cataract done, has he another to be done as well? My o.h.'s sister had hers done just before and just after Christmas, she is only in her 50's but said the first one was better than the second one, both seem to have settled down now tho.

I am sure Fred is looking forward to seeing and doing lots more lol There'll be no holding him now eh?

Take care and spoil yourself as well as looking after everyone else

Watch out Sharron,

Fred will see in every nook and cranny now.

I had my cataracts done when I was 40, I thought i was the only one at the Primary School gates who had wrinkles. Once the catacracts were operated on I could see that I wasnt :-D

Best wishes to Fred for a speedy recovary

My life won't be my own for a few weeks now.

The drops regime is amazing.

The South African nurse from the eye unit rang this morning and I put the phone down on her. I thought it was one of my foreign friends who call most days.

Had to ring the unit and apologize and I am not the first!
