You must complain Dizzi, that behaviour and attitude is totally unacceptable. Even if she is physically unable to help where is her compassion? |

I wouldn't complain as such, but suggest to the nurse and/or Matron that there are exceptions and that you really do need help when you ask for some, you can't be the only one in that position. |

Oh my god Dizzi, you must do something. l would complain, but its your choice!! She has NO RIGHT to treat you that way and the males nurse is no better by not sticking up for you. Disgusting!! There are ways of transferring patients in and out of bed, onto wheel chairs, in and out of a car etc etc....did;nt know if this stupid rule, probably another Euro idea!! |

Dizzi, I am sitting here incensed at this nurses attitude, yet I do understand you wondering if you should complain. As with any bullying, the victim is afraid that complaining will make things worse - and make no mistake, this nurse is a bully. |

speak to the doctor, explain you understand about the nurses ect,but make it clear that at some time you will need help out of bed unless the hospital provides the equiptment to assist you to do it alone. , |

Yes - Bring it to the attention of the Nurse-in-Charge and make sure that all those on duty are told at 'hand-over'. |

Complain DIZZI. I understand that nurses are now not expected to lift paitents out of bed, but they surely they have to be made aware of those with certain conditions who are unable to do so for themselves will need some assistance. She needs to have your full medical history brought to her attention. As for her further comments to you she shows no compassion and is totally unprofessinonal. Perhaps she should consider if she is in the right profession. |

You must complain Dizzi. What appalling behaviour - she's a disgrace to the nursing profession. :-| |

Whilst there may be certain things that nurses are not allowed to do, EVERY patient deserves to be treated with care, compassion and dignity. Sadly, I do think there are significant problems in this area, throughout the country. Complain, Dizzi, and I hope you feel better soon <3 |

You have to complain no question. Yes they can't just go around pulling people out of bed but they must be trained to use something to lift you up...there will always be someone that needs help for some reason so it makes no sense at all. |

Complain in writing or they'll deny getting a complaint. |

Me personally I would complain Dizzi, you are in hospital for a reason and you need the care and support of the trained staff, you not only need the care you deserve and are entitled to it. |
