Food rationing - How would people manage today?

We don't eat much processed food, I enjoy cooking and prefer to use fresh ingredients. We have a well stocked pantry and freezer, and I can usually rustle up a mean from scratch. For health reasons We both have to stick to an healthy diet, but about once a month we have home cooked chips in light oil, its the highlight of OHs day. I have noticed OH sons partners use a lot of processed food, ready meals and take a ways, for convenience I suppose, but they always demolish what ever I cook when they are at our house. I am not sure how the younger generation would manage |

Don't remember marzipan potatoes Nolls and I thought marzipan was hard to get as my mum made marzipan for the top of Christmas cake with Madeira or plain cake mixed with Almond essence as we couldn't get the real thing. |
