I have been RR'd on this thread now!! *shucks* well it stands out a mile now who it is, if anyone would or can be bothered to see what it was pm me....trust me it's so boring......I said the same thing on the other thread and it was reinstated :-S :-S

Is there a way if banning using their ISP number?

Hi Kitty , yes their IP number could be banned, but anyone with a little knowledge can set up a proxy and so it is routed through a series of IPs and can't be tracked back unless you spend the time and money to do so, ( son tells me so my wording may not be right lol) xx

Thank you Rose, but I find it hard to believe anyone would pay to set up a Proxy server just to cause problems on here

That would seem to be more useful to hide other interests they don't want anyone to find out about *shudders*

Kitty, there are lots of free ones.

Still makes me uneasy though..............if they need to hide their ISP it makes alarm bells ring for me.

Maybe because I am an older mum who has had to get my head round the internet and the dangers it can hold for children and young adults it still makes me too suspicious sometimes.

Time GR found away of getting to sorted this out .. surely they employ people clever enough to find the RRER..

At least put there number on here ..

jgee, GR don't need anyone clever enough to find the RRer,

The Reporter is linked on their system to every post RR'd

So GR do know who reported which posts and they also keep a log of all offending posters and all those who report posts

Edit, The RRer is only anonymous to other members and NOT to GR which is also why the system is open to abuse

I think most just think,,,,UK......

anyone anywhere in the world can log into GR with many ISPs using as many names as they like,,,,,,they ban a repeater reporter,but they can reinstate themselves with another name and false address and new email.plus creating a free account on GR.

just troublesome people,,,,,and as I put anyone wishing to keep a certain suspect in the picture from the comfort of the arm chair based in ie,say Germany can do so and sit back watching the hornets buzz round the nest.

you do not have to be a paying member of GR to RR

Free members can also do it.


But tests done a few weeks ago by other members indicated that a non-member cannot RR posts

They can read them, but the buttons are not there.

i dont know whats gone on, and im not that intrerested, but i can guess the likes of this thread is the reason people RR, to make a stir, which is exactly what happens,

someone RR everyone jumps up and down, RR sits back rubbing hands with glee,


mind if certain people could just aviod n ignore each other stuff like this wouldnt happy, in my opinion,

also i totally understand why people dont admit to RR as the names there called by folk who dont know who it is, are bad enough, imagine what they would get if they admitted it,
