Great Jude.

No it doesn't bother me what people eat and I never was a great drinker. I was always the nominated driver. Used to go mad and have a shandy when I got home, so no alcohol when out is normal for me.

Never been a big snacker of chocolate or crisps etc. and cakes and pudds were special occasions only.

This is why it was so frustrating with the weight I slowly put on over the years.

Was out to a Thai New Year do on Sunday wished the chicken I ate had been spiced a little as I ate a chicken salad. Last night out for meal and saw a Rod Stewart tribute who put on a really good show, ate some lovely lamb and pork with guess what - salad. Luckily I really like salad and it tastes great here.

Am out tonight for a meal with friends think it'll be a grilled fish and it's curry and quiz night Wednesday.

Thursday I'm catering here so I think I'll have an omelette, usually tomatoes and mushrooms with a small amount of grated cheese (strong mature cheddar).

Did the washing this morning - loved putting out the size 10 clothes. :-D

Keep going Jude once you start needing smaller clothes you'll feel you're getting somewhere. :-) <3

Morning...still the same as yesterday, but thats ok.
Steak and salad this evening :-) :-)

Pat...size 10 wow, well done you, l don't want to get to that anymore, but a 12/14 would be great :-) :-)

On the subject of watching others eat yummies etc....l'm sort of ok with it but vic will bring in doughnuts/cakes sometimes and that is tempting and blinky annoying, wish he would'nt do it!!!!

You do eat well, love omelettes, might do one later or tomorrow.

I must admit Jude you have inspired me to also have a go with the same diet. I find it heartening that I can actually have an extra piece of potato and it doesn't matter.

We have our own hens so that is useful :-)

K....yeh good on you:)

l love spuds and eggs and B-beans, also salad. Any meat is ok too as long as there is no fat on it and only use Fry Spray....my fall down is the glass of vino...:((

Keep us updated on how you get on :-)
Are these some of your hens in your avatar?? would love a few too but not allowed where we live now :-| :-(

Yes - That is Dorcas and Rye. We also have two commercial breed hens and one cross bred. They follow me everywhere and have an armed truce with our cat.

I bought myself a low cal spray and have used it when poaching eggs. I very rarely drink so that is good. My downfall is chocolate :-( however I find giving it up easier than just reducing it :-)

Thats good too K, having someone thats poorly is an extra worry, especially when you are trying to encourage them to eat, so concentrating on dieting is'nt easy....keep up with what ever it is you are doing as you have still lost 2lbs :-) :-)

The other day l made aload of pasta, added a tin of tuna, onion, tin chopped toms and garlic, ate some for days on the trot and froze the rest. Today l had some more and added baked beans...really nice and everything in it is FREE. l had salad with it before :-) :-)

Sounds a nice recipe.

To date my favourite is potato and onion cut into chunks and roasted with the spray. For the last 20 mins put in some small tomatoes, sugar snap peas, salmon fillet and the juice/zest of a lemon. Mouth watering :-) Followed by frozen raspberries with fat free vanilla yoghurt

I cook it for over an hour, but it really variable as our Rayburn has is not always as fast as a normal cooker so I wait until the onions and pots are cooked before putting on the rest.

I managed 2 pounds this week amazingly after eating at a friends one night but he did serve baked cod. Only 8 pounds to catch you up. The hot weather helps with salad and fruit for lunch being wonderful and all the exercise from gardening
