I am in Yorkshire too, it's almost unbearable and i only use my inhaler occasionally but now i am using it all the time.. like Sue, it's an effort to do anything. :-(

I have just stood by an open window ironing for two hours. I am dripping!

I feel like the mannequins in The House of Wax.

But hey ho, I will not have to put the ironing board up in a hurry if I am asked to tea at Buckingham Palace, I have LOADS to wear!

:-D :-D :-D

Sue you need moisture in the air - try bowls of water and possibly in front of fan. If you can - an air cooler is worth its weight in gold. Just bought a Beldray on internet under £80. Think Currys had them. Or try freecycle and ask - amazing what is given away there.

The area where we lived in Holland always has higher temps. Than other places in this country.Today it is cooler than it has been, 'only'Round the 30 cm mark. About 10 days ago, my garden thermometer stayed stuck at 50c,,it can't go any higher. Being in a fairly sheltered place,I knocked 10 c off, which meant it was over 40 c !!!! I have one lung and. ' dickey' heart, but still love hot weather. Not too happy with the humidity though, even I am floored by it. Gave all my fans away some years back and sometimes I wish I hadn't been so 'generous', Lol, but, am always reminded of the awful long, cold days with rain, snow & ice. I really HATE the winter. Lol.

Surprizing how just a small drop in temperature has made a noticeable difference in my OHs breathing and mobility today and hasn't been sat in front of the fan.... yet.
