So, is it now the general consensus that Ms May should be allowed to try and govern, even with the support of the DUP?

The main argument against that has magically disappeared :-D :-D :-D

JoyLouise Report 13 Jun 2017 14:03

This thread is going great guns.

However, Kay, in the light of previous comments, learn to spell! It's not nuffin - it's nuffink. :-D :-D :-D

Seriously though, I can't see the DUP being overly concerned, at least not concerned enough to prevent them helping Theresa out.

However, I have been known to be overly optimistic. :-D

Hmmm....without wishing to always say the same mantra....only time will tell :-D

Sylvia's mother said Sylvia's busy now
Too busy to come to the phone

Let's see how long it takes someone to post anything worth reading. Those who cannot spell might consider a move to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave Washington Dc where the Twitter meisters will make them welcome.

Caio

Fwiw the Tablet and the Trumpet et al are Not worth reading while the paper size and type of the print edition is of no use for recycling.

I have no idea Dermot if I agree with you, only sometimes or never at all. Your postings from various conservative Rc journals would have more point if you added your own commentary. Why not post just the url ?

Caroline

Caroline Report 13 Jun 2017 15:32

Yeah Dermot cut and paste is so yesterday :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 13 Jun 2017 15:33

So whilst we're on here Rollo do I get answers?

Rambling

Rambling Report 13 Jun 2017 15:35

And the atheists Dermot, to whom or what should they pray? :-)

That 10 DUP MPs will not be holding the Govt over a barrel sooner or later?
That the UK government can then be seen as "neutral" when it comes to getting the power sharing agreement in NI back on track?

Does anyone really believe that this can be anything but a very temporary answer while Brexit is organised ( sic)?

What I think most likely to happen is that T May will be forced into a softer Brexit, ( and probably a move away from austerity) and the very things that most of the leave voters thought they would get on leaving the EU, will be watered down till the end result pleases nobody much.

Kay????

Kay???? Report 13 Jun 2017 15:36

well I never.......

its only nuffink if your nortthern,,,,,even Kensington its nuffin, rite.
;-) :-D.

lets see how long it takes for someone to post a monologue to make the eyes glaze over. :-D.
Blur.

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 13 Jun 2017 15:49

I quite like Blur. :-D

Once again, I may be wrong but I would not be at all surprised if we get no Brexit. I think that once conditions are ironed out, MPs will put to the public that we are going to lose too much to Brexit.

C, u r nt alone, Rollo, in bin unable 2 spell proply.

Caroline

Caroline Report 13 Jun 2017 15:57

Once upon a time there were some big bad men and woman called the EU. They kept asking for more and more until the little people said "enough". They threw the BREXIT at the EU but they huff and puff and before you knew it everyone had a big headache trying to work out what might happen and what might not. Then the wise one said "enough" and he told them all a story and the whole of the EU and the UK fell asleep and could only be woken up by a pure one....which never happen so hard luck.

Eyes glazed yet Kay???

Caroline

Caroline Report 13 Jun 2017 16:20

Barbra as I said before I hope they all work together and make the best of what many will justifiably see as a bad situation, and get the best they can for the UK future.

RolloTheRed

RolloTheRed Report 13 Jun 2017 17:48

Once upon a time big and little men and women calling themselves kings and Queens chancellors and fuhrers ran Europe solely in the interests of rich landowners financiers and industrialists. They could not agree among themselves how to divide up their ill gotten gains. the result was over a thousand years of warfare paid for by the little people who lost their houses, farms, businesses and paid in blood. Eventually in 1956 six countries said enough is enough and got together and created the European Iron and Steel community. those six are now the 28 nations of the EU. Within the EU fear of war, famine and abuse of law is no more.
(dark clouds, sombre music)
In one important European country neither the rich nor the followers of Trotsky and Lenin have accepted that power and money should be controlled by ordinary people for mutual benefit. By dint of unending lies these two hostile camps won a vote in favor of a return to the bad old ways.
(small patch of blue sky. VIVALDI "Spring")
But they have been rumbled.
Now we are in a fine old mess. Both the shades
of Brian Boru and Laurel and Hardy have been summoned to sort it out.
Let us pray, wave our rattle scream or whatever comes naturally at such times.

Caroline

Caroline Report 13 Jun 2017 17:59
