Hi Liz,

Notice you have nudged this...is it being aired again?
I had a convict on the Charlotte and so did Daff...in fact I helped her find him...tried in Exeter on same day!
I p.md Mr Daff yesterday as he has reopened Daffs research.Would love to watch it again.I have the book ..bought off E bay a while ago and I sent the DVD to my granddaughter in Oz.

I thought it was god viewing. My husbands GGGGGrandfather went on a similar journey in 1803 to Sorrento which is just round the coast from where Mary Bryant went. After being there for a year and finding the land unworkable their governor David Collins asked if they could relocate to Van Diemens land and founded Hobart. In 1813 he was pardoned and given land which he worked until he died in 1833 aged 70. Linda

I have also read The Floating Brothel by Sian Rees, which is an excellent book if anyone wants to know more about the ship and its journey ;-))
