Afternoon Wattlers. Warm day in Melb. Jude in Melb. What makes it all a bit spooky is that Barb wanted to take her dad to the Whitsundays last time we went for a bit of R&R... We have been to Daydream and Hamilton Island a few times, and had wondered about booking a holiday on Hayman, but always found it a bit to expensive for our budget. The winners name will be listed in the Age on the 21st Feb.The comp ended on the 31st Jan, and the winner was to be notified by Phone......so we are only to pleased to accept the call....lol ( notice how i said we....) I mean, i play a part in these comp's ya know......i eat the no label tin food in the pantry...hee hee We have till August this year to take it....so probably then. Thanks everyone for the Congrat.for the win........Barb is a very tinnie person, and i have never met anyone with the luck of the Irish as she has. I'm sure peeps will hear about her luck, if your going to the meet at Yarrawonga.....lol Since 1992 ( when she first started comps.. ) this is Holiday number 12 that she has won, among other's, and she does belong to a club ( very similar to GR...but an Ozzie Comp.club ) Her biggest wins so far was a trip to Disney land ( last year ) for 4 peeps, and 2 home picture theatre systems.( won two weeks apart )...so if luck has anything to do with it...then she considers herself very lucky, but she does enter everything that's going, and is a very, very, dedicated compoholic. Her motto is....if advertising promotion's want to give people freebies, then she will take e'm graciously. I can post up to 60 letters/comps a week, at any given time.( for the cost of the product and a stamp ) Other people spend there money on Smokes and Grog, but she does neither, so good luck to her. My kids buy her books of stamps and envelopes for Xmas, and birthdays...but thats what she asks for? Lara. I'm a middle of the month, and middle of the year kid..( Gemini ) 14/06/49..er. I dont consider myself over the hill yet, I'm just viewing the Valley on the other side....ha ha Age 57......looks 21...acts like a 7 year old....lol... but I'm a happy bloke...... :>))))))))) Loved ya Ozzie poem Lara. WT. Have emailed you with a possibility....but not 100% sure. The NBI i have is from 1538 - 1825 only. Mary. Hope your having great time in N.Z......it is such a beautiful Country. Anna. Loved your verse also. Dont worry about where we will get the time to fit it in...lol....but i have noticed a strange niceness and many more Phone calls from my kids over the last 24 hrs....LOL Sue.( Tassie Devil ) I dont win much either mate....not normally lucky when it comes to that ( although i did have a nice win on the Lotto last month ).but that took me 30 odd years to win...lol Do a 'google' on Ozzie comp's mate...you might be surprised......and win a freebie to Vic. for the Ozzie meet. Shame you cant come to Yarrawonga.......us being neighbours n' all....but we are coming over to Tassie this year.......but goodness know when?? Barb says, next time you do your grocery shopping, and your walking up and down the aisle, look out for comps on the products you buy, and enter them...cos someone is going to win.......and it might as well be you, if you use the product. Laurie. You must surely be getting a bit excited now mate, or is that an understatement!!..... I would already be packed, and saying that, i still havent properly unpacked since our U.K holiday last year, and the way madam is winning i might as well stay packed. Well...... might go make meself a tuna/sardine/salmon/????? sandwich. Av a good one. Tony Oz :>))

Hi Wattlers We certainly have a good variety of astrological stars on this thread. Mine is the 5th February 1950. I was reading my chinese stars one day and got quite excited as I thought I was born in the year of the TIGER :) luuuvvv tigers!! . However on closer inspection I found I arrived in the year of the OX :( large, slow, plodding, beast of burden). I wonder if it was trying to tell me something?? All you lucky sods traipsing around having holidays!!! Makes me jealous. Then I remember that I am off to Norfolk Isl in Sept and I brighten up a bit. Save, save, save so I can spend, spend, spend on all that duty free! Must be azway....favourite nephew has just droped in. see y'all later. WT

Evening all, You look lovely Gwenda, most becoming :) beautiful poems, both of them, thanks. I'm 3 May and I believe I said 1950 was a good year :) Had to very firmly reclaim my puta. Youngest son's been using it. looks like he's managed to enrol ok. *sigh of relief* I got a valentine card!! There we were in the middle of the lake, bells ringing, sipping our drinks, and he produces a card. Oooo just as well the drinks were non alcoholic cause we ran into a wall to wall breath test on the way home! Lara, are you trying to tell me something with the dog email??? Hee Hee. Actually our cat and dog get on really well which is lovely. The cat has some very 'doggy' moments - it plays fetch when you throw small objects and loves to play in water!!! When it was a kitten it would go paddling in a bowl of water. Now it just likes to put its paw in and scoop it up for a drink!! Tony - I had missed the significance of the unlabled tins till now :) lol Waves to everyone ~~~~ Vonny

Well, well and my oh my. Haven't we all come up with some very fancy bits, but Gwenda takes the cake! (now share it around, Gwenda). WT, I also am Year of the Ox. Dependable, loyal and heavy of foot lol. Vonny, your cat sounds very clever. I have 2 cats, one is a black part burmese named Chester and he is 18 years old. The other is a chocolate point Siamese named Mu. No idea how old he is, as I adopted him when his owner died, but he only has 4 fangs left and gums his food! He even eats chicken bones!! I also have a border collie named Jack who is univerally known as 'Jack the Wonder Dog', although at the moment he is busy chasing thunder!! Just back from the hairdresser and am very happy with the new do. Tony, do tell more about that competition site. Some people say Barb is lucky but we all know that 'the harder you work, the luckier you get' and if Barb goes to so much trouble, then she deserves to win. Thanks again for the joke Lara. I'll share it with the 'catfish' at work tomorrow! Off to watch Bargain Hunt and Antiques Roadshow. Chat with you all in the morning. Lew Lew xxx

Hi all - seems to be more of usses with bits than with no bits now!!!!! Lew lew you sure are giving that credit card a bashing - dining out, fancy hairdo's - wot next!! You sound really happy doing your 'thing'. Wot wondrous things does Jack the Wonder dog do? lol In the past I have had all sorts and manners of dogs, one of the nicest I'd have to say was the King Charles Spaniel - like Lara's. But they are all nice in their own way. I cant remember how many cats we've had - at the moment - none, but my 2 daughters have carried on the tradition - one has a sealpoint siamese, and the other has a ginger tabby fluffy cat (not a persian) - and a smoky grey fluffy cat .... the type that are the size of a small dog when dry, and about the size of a skinny kitten when wet!! Budgies featured in our lives for a while, but cats and budgies do not mix lol Off to beddy byes soon. Love Joodles
