*Fat Lady Cook is not a happy Islander her backaches and the spur in the heel of her left foot feels like a hot needle stabbing into her. Too lazy to make two trips to the woodpile she decided to pile the basket sky high and labors up the stairs nearly falling over backwards with the weight* This can stay here on the verandah 'she mumbles to herself' until I am ready to make the log fire. I had better get a move on to the kitchen and start with dinner not that I see anyone around. They must all still be dead drunk somewhere after the pool barbeque. * She limps with one foot and shuffles with the other down the path toward reception*

Helen in Kent

Helen in Kent Report 3 Mar 2005 15:39

Zoo lady has finally found the shower in her accomodation and has dressed up for a restful but sociable afternoon with the guests. But there are none to be seen! Come to that, there are no staff to be seen either. That cruise advertised yesterday on the notice board must have enticed them all away. Perhaps they'll spot the last swimming camel. Zoo lady decides to replace the animals bedding as the lorry arrived at last and teeters on 3 inch stilettoes carrying a bale of straw...she doesn't see the fat cook limping down the path....crash! Sorry! Let me help you up and what about a small snifter?

Bec Report 3 Mar 2005 15:39

ButtercupFields Report 3 Mar 2005 15:59

She had rescued all the camels...given them the kiss of life..well you've heard of dog breath but camel breath??? awful....She was drying them now with Bec's hair dryer...and murmouring little camel words to them which she had learnt many moons ago in the Sahara....They murmoured back... it ws a happy scene. BUT she still had the problem of what to do next? she was disenchanted...casually taking a slug of Bourbon and sucking the legs of a lobster...mmmmmm.... she pondered sadly...what to do...what to do....In the meantime she would help out the Zoo Lady who seemed to be off her trolley and had'nt a clue how to treat the furries....Maybe that nice Hairdresser needed an apprentice???? I used to run a Hairdressers in Harrogate called Justasnip....but some people misunderstood... we used to have all kinds of requests from shady people....Ah that Bourbon is going down a treat. Think I'll curl up with the Camels and have a kip.....

*Fat Lady eyes the back of the Zoo Lady, having refused a helping hand from that smelly woman. She dusts herself off and mumbles .......you can shower as much as you like and it isn't going to do you no good... you look like a camel you smell like a camel..phew! She hobbles into the reception without even looking at whatisyourname melons and closes the kitchen door behind her*

Maggie again sneaks into the kitchen, she still isnt quite used to her new look. Takes one of each the puddings and goes and hides in her lovely large shed. I really must do some gardening tomorrow, that hole in the rose bushes seems to be getting bigger, and the weeds are starting to sprout. Think I will go to the bar tonight and see how everyone reacts to my new face.
