Thanks Rose and Jax for your help, we have eliminated the Greenham marriage/children and are going down the Evans Marriage side as it all seems to fit... Once all this info has been collected it will be sent back to the lady in the US who has the diary and she can then get in touch with them and send the diary off to where it belongs..what a wonderful piece of history to own! Ooops sorry Rose, I dont know how the diary ended up in the US...If I manage to find out, I will post it up here and the outcome.
:-)

There is of course a good chance that this family emigrated to the US at some point.

Not seeing them on the London Electoral rolls for 63/64 when that part of London was added

There is a tree on Ancestry that says she died in Somerset in 2010....but also says born Liverpool.....which of course is wrong

jax

I think you might be better off contacting the nieces and nephews. Quite often people come across these mementos because there are no surviving direct descendants.

For instance, it's odd she mentions the births of her nieces and nephews but not the dates for her own marriage or children.

Her daughter is living in Somerset Rose the same area as where her mother and father died

The tree looked to have belonged to the boyfriend/husband of her granddaughter so there was only a small part of that family mentioned....but it all fitted with what I found

Have found the daughter and her children plus one son of Olive on facebook

will give you the details by pm

Maybe Olives eldest child went to the US as I cannot see him anywhere...Julian looks to live in the US and he is also one of Olives daughters friends
