I have no idea what your level of membership was before, but ................


This time, you have obviously joined as a Standard member .............. which, in addition to building your tree, allows you to contact other members, and read and post on these Boards. You may also search the Records, but not see the details, unless you buy credits..


If you were a Gold member before .............. that level of membership has been done away with, unless you have a continuing Gold sub, then it will be renewed.

The only other level of membership is Platinum.


In addition .............. the fact that you have now used your new membership, by posting on this thread, means that GR will probably refuse to give you a refund. That is stated in their T&Cs.

Every other week I will give a roundup of the latest suggestions which I will add to this thread. This thread is locked because new suggestions should be made on a new thread or on the Trees, Records or General Suggestions threads.

2nd May 2013 - A roundup of the latest suggestions from the Suggestions Board:

• Not everyone is paying the same subscription cost. You have said this will be changing soon and moving everyone across to the same subscription fee. When will you be changing this?

- We had started moving people on to the new price point gradually but now that we are confident that the payment system can cope with the price change and it will not affect your use of the site or your subscription in any way, we will be moving everyone. You will pay the new price upon your next renewal. You will receive an email 28 days and 14 days before this payment is taken.

so ................. nothing said about the AMOUNT of the subscription .................. but an indication that there will soon no longer be the huge discrepancies that we have been seeing.

I received my notification 28 days before my subscription is due and yes, there's still a huge discrepancy. I will be charged 6 pounds for the year.

I know I should just keep my mouth shut but it's so unfair to others who are being charged 3 times this amount.
