I love a mystery myself, but there are too many threads going on this one for me.

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=1148228

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=1148263

Chasing info around multiple threads isn't a mystery, it's a pain.

Ann-Marie -- not everyone sees every thread. There is no guarantee that anyone who has worked on this thread will see another one with varying information in it, or that anyone who sees that thread will have seen this one. The possibilities for duplicated effort are just too great.

Ann-Marie

Ann-Marie Report 1 May 2009 02:04

PLEASE note-

Previous information and details on births were incorrect

Only this thread is valid...

EvieBeavie Report 1 May 2009 02:08

Oh my.

Putting a message on THIS thread to ignore PREVIOUS threads just isn't going to work, is it?

As I attempted to explain -- not everyone reads all threads.

You need to go to the OTHER threads and post a message to this effect, and if you include the URL for THIS thread

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=1148329

anyone interested will be able to see.

I received your PM, I'm afraid it isn't making much sense to me, but there ya go.

I'm Sorry we seem to have our wires crossed here i think :)

Yes i have two previous threads, asking for details of my father in law-

Michael phillip Greenhalgh

the reason i am asking for people to ignore previous thread because IT HAS THE WRONG information.

all of the feeds bring up michael dad as the wrong person

the only coincience is that both mothers have the same surname?! oodly enough but is not the right person

I wasnt meaning what i put as a nasty reply- it just seems pointless for people to keep bringing up the same info which is not right.

Sorry if i offended you in any way by this- thanks to every one for there continued help

Ann-Marie,

Can you explain how you suddenly found Michael's parent's names? A few hours ago you had no idea. What changed?

Ann-Marie Report 1 May 2009 05:24

I did an electoral register search for Patricia and she was listed-

i then searched BT phone book and found her.

I called her and got some info from her- she is very old and dotty (bles her) but hence how info was found.

thanks for help

ChristineinPortugal Report 1 May 2009 07:42

I have been reading the other threads and see you have ordered the birth cert for Michael so I think you need to wait until that arrives to make sure of his parents names.

Are you sure you have found the correct Patricia as you say she is "very old" but born 1848 would make her 61.

Christine

Ann-Marie

Ann-Marie Report 1 May 2009 07:46

yeah am sure- I'm only 23 so 61 to me seems old (I'm sorry :( )

the certificate i have orderded is not the right person- the mum and dads names are not correct.

I am going to go to registry office today and order the correct one and go from there I think as i cannot find them any other way.

Thank you everyone for your help on this one-

I shall update when i have the bcert.

ChristineinPortugal Report 1 May 2009 08:15

Which certificate have you ordered?

Is it the Michael P Greenhalgh born Bethnal Green?

If so how do you know the parents are wrong if you haven't received it yet?

Went to Registry office today- got Michaels certificate....

Info-

Father STANLEY EDWARD GREENHALGH -moodyblue you were indeed correct!!

mother Yvonne May Greenhalgh (previously GORE) So I think the Yvonne who died in 1975 was her, have requested a copy of death certifiacte-

Fathers proffesion Potman (Public house) of 12 Kerbela Street, bethnal green.

also abve is place of residence.

Have tried a marraige search for these two but drew up zero....

I'm estimating that Stanley was born between 1910-1920's?

Thank you to every body who has helped me on this one!

Annie, why are you estimating Stanley Edwards birth when you have the birth reference?

BIRTHS

Ann-Marie

Ann-Marie Report 1 May 2009 20:39

just in case it is not him- i found a few s greenhalghs around that time- and I dont know for sure that is him so just keeping an open mind on it all-

i have realised through my thread i should look over all evidence and not dismiss it.

but i am using the one you found originally as my census searches- to see if this links up.

Thank you very much Moodyblue!

your intuition was great and led me down the right track!!!

Jooleh

Jooleh Report 1 May 2009 22:47

Annie I'm getting confused. Who are you looking for in *all* the census'? You won't find Stanley Edward unless he was born pre 1911.

Ann-Marie

Ann-Marie Report 1 May 2009 23:00

I know- i was just searcing all site for a record of him, also a few vairants on his DOB came up (as edward) i have searched 1911 census for him (he could have just been born- there were a few age 0) but nothing seemed to match.

I was just asking if anybody knew where i could try.

thanks alot
