ok hi guys-

I have just phone Pat again- and really puzzled her!! I had to ask her the same question worded diff to get an answer!!

Ok so a few facts (according to pat)

Birdwhistle is the right one as she remembers a nanny julie,

Yvonne had 2 brothers- Ronnie/Ron/ronald and George

George died before Yvonne did

Ron could possibly be alive

She also had a sister who she knew as Queenie (I dont think this is her real name though)

Queenie got married to unknown by pat and had a daughter called DAPHNY (i think its how you spell it- its pronounced "Daff-ney")
Quennie's husband died when pat was little.

They all lived/live in cheltenham/ glouster area (once again i am sorry for my poor spelling)

I am presuming that Daphny was born around the time of pat??

going to do a bmd search and i'm going to look back over this thread as there were a few people who mentioned ron and george GORE's

Patricia seemed very cagy and closed and i think there is something hidden there- as when i said i'm still looking she said "oh no why you still looking"

I asked if Stan was married previously and she said yes it could have been.

i asked why she was born in paddington- she said that her mum moved there a little while before she was born- I THINK possibly that pat was an affair?? and Stan followed? Just a theroy as there is no record of any marriage so maybe they just wanted a fresh start...?

With regards to stan being born in wales she said it was something to do with work (i had to ask her this question re-worded 5 times before she gave up that he was born there because of work!)

I also asked what religion her mum and dad were (as i thought possibly if they had a weird religion that wasnt recognised by the land that could could explain it?) but apparently they were brought up CofE

That was the best I could squeeze from her it took nearly an hour to do that!

She is very closed on the subject and you really have to dig? so who knows but at least she gave us a little more info

I thought queenie was another name for beatrice? not sure if I'm right....

It can be a nick name for a dad to use for a daughter too.
Just like princess or daddys little angel.

But queenie I always think of as a predominantley london name.
Silly I know.

So did you ask where yvonne was born?

I did- as i explained to her NO record of her mothers birth or marriage could be found- she still stands by the place cheltenham
