Find Ancestors

Emily and Mary Ann Adams are my Grandmother's sisters. I have sightings of them on the 1891 census (Emily in Acton, London) and (Mary in Kensington, London) but cannot find them after that. I know one had died by 1911 census (cross reference with their parents' census) but cannot find any deaths or marriages that fits into their data. Where are either or both on the 1901 census and where is one of them in 1911? Many thanks for any thoughts.

There are quite a few marriages in the London area for the name Emily Adams between 1891 and 1901. Have you discounted all of them?

Rule this one as married on image and with her husband

Kathleen, I have gone through many, many marriages for both ladies many times and cannot fit the right data together - either wrong age, wrong father's name (their father was John Coleman, agricultural worker) or wrong place of birth (by following through on the following census with their married name).
GlitterBaby, not sure about this but interesting. I haven't come across this 1901 listing before. Maybe Kimble spelt wrongly but this will be worth me investigating. I am not sure what is meant at the bottom by "rule this one as married on image with her husband". I assume she is single on this census as she is "head" and still shown as "Adams"

Do you have the girls on an earlier census with their parents?

I am wondering why their father is John Coleman when their name is Adams!! Or do you mean Coleman is his middle name?

In 1911, that John & Emma Coleman's record says they had 6 children born - 3 still living, 3 deceased.

But that doesn't agree with what Thelma says about Emily & Mary Ann's parents, so maybe not the right family?

These must be their births. There are no Wycombe district births for them as Adams.
