Oops. Will just check l.p.c again. Thought James and Anne married 1878 ..may have confused with sister Jane who married Alfred brockhurst . :-S

Shirley

Shirley Report 6 Mar 2018 15:30

Just to add that Thomas Duxbury died in Burnley ..think they had the date right on that mixed up ancestry tree ..but he committed suicide by hanging after death of agnes ....inquest was in paper ..very sad ?? :-S

1881 image says Newchurch

But he isn't related to Lawrence - different fathers, as I mentioned above

Naming one of their children the same is sheer coincidence

I'm missing it ? When did James Taylor senior die then ? I think i found john William Taylor birn in 1888 marrying matilda Jackson in 1909.

Shirley

Shirley Report 6 Mar 2018 17:28

Guess James Taylor maybe died between 1888 and 1893 or 1892 then...posdibly ..if she had the other ones after john William with William dean. ?

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 6 Mar 2018 17:28

Take your pick

Taylor James 1853 1884 1884 Civil Deaths & Burials Burnley, Lancashire, England

Taylor James 1853 1927 1927 Civil Deaths & Burials Burnley, Lancashire, England

Taylor James 1856 1915 1915 Civil Deaths & Burials Burnley, Lancashire, England

My money's on 1884, but I can't as yet see Ann in 1891

Got to go now........................ OH wants feeding!

Shirley

Shirley Report 6 Mar 2018 17:31

Maybe even john william could have been William deans as i noticed that from 1872 until 1888 James Taylor and Anne had not one surviving child as they all died as babies . Would be enough to upset any marriage that would ... :-S

Shirley

Shirley

Shirley Report 6 Mar 2018 17:59

The 1884 is too old fir James . There is one in 1891 that fits fine with the dates ..but hevis in a grave with an alice of similar age and i wonder if she maybe his wife ...going to check for a marriage between a James Taylor and an alicr round about 2872 in the area ... :-)

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 6 Mar 2018 20:55

Why do you think the 1884 death I posted is too old?

James said he was 19 when he married in 1872...........so, born 1853 approx

A copy of the cert would solve it.

The PDF version from the GRO costs less than a paper one

I found that Joseph Taylor , the youngest child , born 1898 , married ellen Lancaster in 1920. Can anyone spot Ellen Lancaster born around 1897 on the 1911 census ? They had two sons , john william Taylor in 1920 who married ruby walker in 1943 and Granville Taylor born in 1922. :-)
