If not, look for an earlier marriage on SP
Contact the members who have him in GR trees

there are several possibles born in greenock 1957 - 1965 but you will need credits for scotland people
cant see any for port of glasgow

His wife was over 30 years his junior IF the marriage is the correct Charles

I have the other marriage. I have been looking for my father for many years but have had no luck until now i have info that Charles Lavelle born 1903/4 lived in the same building that i was born in Port Glasgow and could possibly be my Grandfather. I have messaged members who have him on their trees but got nothing back.

You've also been given his marriage and death, and don't seem to need any info about his ancestry.
What else do you hope to find out about him?


There are 30 Lavelle births 1957-62 in Renfrewshire, but none in Port Glasgow.
You would have to buy the birth certs for all of them, at £12 each, to know if any of them were Charles's children.

If there were children from the second marriage, none of them have died in Scotland.

It looks like you may be a son of the first marriage, in which case you won't need any info about siblings. [EDIT: - Ignore last sentence - got mixed up with the generations.]
