Hi all,
Just a few lines from me. Nice to hear that your craft classes are running ok Jill. Keep up the good work.
I have been making lots of cards as my neighbour seems to be sending cards to everybody she knows. She took 8 cards yesterday again.
Why is it that we all - well those who are that way inclined - need to go on a diet after Xmas and don't buy chocolates or other tempting goodies and are just getting used to the diet when Easter looms up. I saw in our supermarket today lots and lots of Easter eggs, all colours, various fillings with equally fattening centres. Well, I've said that I've bought the chocolates to decorate my house, and that means filling the bonbon dish with coloured chocolates. It is funny that once the packet of chocolates has been opened how quickly it disappears, but left in the cupboard unopened it can remain there months! Temptation is great!
It will be Johan's birthday on Saturday week, so more goodies.
How is your diet Brenda?

Jill is having yet more trouble getting on here.

Sylvia, I like it. Chocolates to decorate the house that disappear - aha a chocolate fairy!!!

Love the idea of a chocolate fairy that takes the chocolate and not leaves it!!
Sorry to hear Jill is having so many problems with this site.

Evening Ladies been away for the weekend again looking after grandchildren got back this evening.

I am trying to restart the ATC swap within the group again is anyone else interested? Can you get back to me and let me know please and then we can sort something out. I have 5 who have already contacted me so would be nice if we could get a few more interested.

Hi all,
Yes, the chocolates do look pretty in their coloured silver paper, and taste delicious out of the paper !
I must get some forsythia branches and more bulbs to decorate the room and also the balcony. I usually get this madness just before Johan's birthday when I want the place to look more attractive. The biggest step is to get Johan to the Garden Center to buy some bits and pieces. He hates shopping.
I had to scoot out today to the Post Office to post the things I had sold on the internet. Nasty drizzly rain, but I wanted to post the goods and Johan was busy doing odd jobs. He has had my scootmobile in pieces and made some alterations as well as given it a clean up.
What a pity for Jill that she can't get on our site again. I'm sure she would be one to join in the ATC swop.
Jo, don't you think you are being a bit adventurous asking for more than 6 people for the swap. That means we have to make 6 cards. Well that is as much as I'll have time for I think. What do others t hink on this matter. How many should we have?
Have a nice evening girls.

Hi Jo, I found before that I just didn't have time to do ATCs so please count me out.

Can I suggest you e mail Jill re the ATCs, my only contact with her for greaders has been via her private e mail.

Sylvia, your flat must look very spring like!!

Hi All

Ann thanks for letting me know and I will contact Jill.

Sylvia, we would still only make 6, immaterial of how many join in. We might struggle to get 6 every month.

Weather here is horrible at the moment. I have just driven back up the motorway and it was really awful.

Good morning ladies and I have found a way (for the time being) of getting on. I received notification of pms and came on through the e mail link to messages and that stops the home page freezing on me .

Hope everyone's keeping well and hugs to all that are not.

We are still waiting on the new arrivals and think the ewes have their legs crossed :))
My craft groups are going very well with 8 to 10 spread over two days with lots of great feed back.
Jo I will join in with the ATCs as only committed for another three elsewhere so can find time for this swap.

xx Jill

Evening everyone.

Jill pleased to see you back in again and pleased that you are joining in the ATC swaps.
Its lovely that your craft groups are going so well, they will certainly keep you busy. Just what do your sheep think they are doing, think you need to have a long talk with them!

Well we had snow again today, at least it did not last for long then the sun came out.

Has anyone heard from Sue (King Cole) recently, my emails to her are bouncing.

Still able to get in so hope everyones having a good weekend.

We had two new arrivals yesterday to two of our ewes, Daisy had a girl and Lily a boy. Just waiting on Gertie to have hers and fingers crossed might be twins. Very odd for the other two as every year they have twins but this year just the one each. Lily had hers late last night so we were out in the field til 1am :))

Hi all,
Nice to see you around again Jill and to hear about your classes being a success. Are they mixed English and French Jill?
Jill certainly knows how to fill her day. She is never still and seems to take part in everything. Me, just slowing down I suppose, but it was doubtful whether or not I should take part in the swap again as I gave up last time for not being able to keep up. I will try again.
I have promised Johan that we will spend a few days in Rotterdam so that he can visit museums etc. This is because he wanted us to move there into sheltered accommodation, so i suggested we go to Rotterdam now and again and stay in a hotel and do whatever he wants to.
Last Friday we went out to buy Johan a folding scootmobile, because although he walks better than i do, he cannot walk distances. Well at 84, who wants him to?
It has been raining today and is still quite cold. The outlook for the rest of the week is not too bright either.
My granddaughter phoned me today and asked if I had seen the advertisement for the new Craft Shop opening - last Friday now. I must have looked over this ad and forgotten it. Another place to go and visit!
For their publicity stunt they placed lots and lots of garden gnomes in people's gardens late at night and when you gave up that you had found it you received a present.
Now see you all tomorrow.

Afternoon everyone. Back from looking after grandchildren for the weekend. Seem to have become a permanent weekend babysitter!! Still no one had mine for me when they were little and I really enjoy my time with them as they live quite a drive away. Granddaughter had to make a dolls/dolls house bed for her homework. Now that was good fun!! The amount of homework the older two get and they are 6 & 8 is astronomical and her spellings even I would have to think about!! Still the 1 year old was very good and the puppy was not too bad.
So back to normal today.
Sun is shining at the moment but we have just had a really heavy rain/hail storm, just doesn't know what it wants to do.

Sylvia, email on its way to you!!!! Received your letters, thank you.

Sylvia there is no pressure with the atc swap and if you prefer not to do them that is fine. It was just an idea for in between the birthdays. If anyone puts their name down then finds they cannot send them in just send an email, that is fine, as I say no pressure.

Jill congratulations on the lambs and so far no bottle feeding now that must make a lovely change for you. Hope Gerties little ones are fine when they put in their appearance.

Hello everyone. tell me, If you had about £75 - £100 pounds to spend on an accessory for card making & scrap booking what would you buy?

I have a Wizard die cutter which is fine but very hard work, it takes a lot of pressure to cut, even my OH finds it hard. Is there anything else that would do the job that doesn't take so much effort? I can see that as I get older (70 next year) my arms will not be as strong. Has anyone any help for me to spend my money?

To save me going on FTF could somebody ask the question over there for me please?

Thanks

Ann

Ann have copied your post and placed over on FTF. Will let you know if there are any replies. I have heard lots of positive comments regarding the Cricut machine but then it is very expensive.

Ann I have the cuttlebug and find it good. I know a few have the Big Shot as I think it takes bigger 'things' My only thing against it is the size of the embossing dies but you cannot have everything. Jill and Wendy and Vicky all use theirs with some fantastic results. Me I'm still learning.

Jude I do use ebay for some bits, would love the link to go and have a look.

I will be sending out a message regarding a new member from Aus.

AnninGlos Report 11 Mar 2009 21:57

Do you mean the dies are too big or too small Jo? does the cuttlebug take dies from other machines? Like Xcut,Sizzlet etc?

Jo Jo

Jo Jo Report 11 Mar 2009 23:03

Ann, Wendy said - I have a Wizard and yes it is very hard to use, so I bought a Cuttlebug and it is great. So easy to use and all my Wizard dies will go through it as well, so not wasted.

Jac said - I love my cuttlebug I find it easy to use and the embossing folders are great plus it takes dies from other machines.I like the portability of it also.Have no idea how much they are in the UK.

What I meant was the dies are C6 size would live 5x7 some dies you can repeat and they match up. I have not tried other dies, as not that experienced with it, but I know Vicky and Wendy have both used other dies.
